Prince William Caught on Camera Stealing a Present for Prince Louis
Each year on Christmas morning the royals have a tradition of walking to church from the Sandringham House on the family’s estate in Norfolk.
Crowds gather to catch a glimpse of them as they head to St. Mary Magdalene Church and hope to get a handshake or chat for a moment as the family members leave the service. Many people also show up with presents to give the royals during a walkabout.
In 2024, Prince William, the Princess of Wales (formerly known as Kate Middleton), and their three children collected lots of gifts from well-wishers along the way. Princess Charlotte and Kate received several bouquets of flowers while William, Prince George, and Prince Louis were seen holding handfuls of other types of gifts.
Now, a video is making the rounds showing the Prince of Wales noticing something Louis had that he took from the youngster and put in his own pocket. Here’s more on that and what people are saying about the video that is going viral.
Video clip shows Prince William pocketing his son’s chocolate
One of the things Prince Louis was given during the walkabout was chocolate. In a video posted on YouTube, the little prince is seen holding a chocolate bar or two before his dad comes along and takes that out of his hand and then puts it in his jacket pocket.
The clip has thousands of views and the text over the footage reads: “Prince William and Louis share the chocolates.”
Some have discussed how funny it is to see the future king snatching candy away from his youngest child but others have a theory as to why he did.
Explanation for why William took the candy from Louis
The same video clip showing William taking Louis’ candy was posted on TikTok as well and has racked up more than 47,000 views. And while the text over the footage does read “Prince William steals Prince Louis’ chocolate,” many commenters offered the most logical explanation for why the Prince of Wales grabbed the chocolate from Louis and put it in his pocket.
As one person said: “He didn’t steal it if there’s parents here [you’ll know] what I’m talking [about] when our children are handed something from people we don’t no [sic] it’s [taken] away. God knows what could be in it!!”
Another chimed in: “As a mother who has had to worry about Halloween candy it was my first thought. Shouldn’t be, but unfortunately there has been some scary stories locally. As a royal the risk must be much higher.”
A third wrote: “Fair play to him. I’d do the same you never know what people have done to it.”
And a fourth person explained that the royals “can’t accept any food items for fear of poisoning. I’m sure Louis didn’t realize.”
