Prince William and Kate Middleton Have Agreed to ‘Consciously’ Avoid Prince Harry, Insider Claims
Prince William and Kate Middleton have been teammates in life since the two started dating back in the early 2000s. More than 20 years later, that still stands. William and Kate have been through it all together, and the two were once quite close with Prince Harry. Of course, things have changed for the couple in recent years, with Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, leaving the royal family and ultimately creating tension.
And insider claims that, with so much going on in William and Kate’s lives, the two are now “consciously” avoiding William’s brother.

We can’t say we didn’t see this coming. Back in 2020, Harry left the royal family, and things with him and the Wales couple have never been the same. But earlier this year, William and Kate experienced their own massive struggle when Kate was diagnosed with cancer. As a result, the two had to make Kate’s health even more of a priority, and with little progress being made in their relationship with Harry, an insider claims the couple has decided to “consciously” focus on positivity rather than Harry.
“William and Kate are very consciously focusing on positivity and recovery,” a source told OK! Magazine (via Mirror), rather than focusing on the negative energy that is their relationship with Harry.
Ingrid Seward, a royal expert who has covered William and Harry for years, told Mirror, “[William’s] relationship with brother Harry upset him more than he would care to admit. But he found it easier to cut ties rather than allow himself to be continually annoyed.”
William has not seen his brother in ages. Harry made a quick trip to the UK in both February and May, and the two brothers did not get together either time.

In recent years, William and Kate have put a greater emphasis on their family. The kids are starting to appear in public more often, yet William and Kate very much still try to keep them shielded from the spotlight wherever they can. Princess Charlotte recently accompanied Kate to Wimbledon, which was only Kate’s second appearance this year. At the same time, Prince George and William attended the Euro 2024 final between England and Spain.
With the kids growing up, Harry is becoming a less necessary part of the royal family. Five years ago, when tensions seriously started to build, losing him seemed harder. But as William and Kate integrate their kids into the spotlight and focus on Kate’s health, it seems that a relationship with Harry just doesn’t matter as much as it once did.
