Prince William and Kate Middleton want to give their kids the most normal lives possible, but they also need to ensure their children get a combination of top-tier education and top-tier security while in school.

The Prince and Princess of Wales typically make a public appearance every year as they bring their kids back to school, but little is known about exactly what Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis’ school experiences are really like. However, we do know that William and Kate shell out six figures each year to give their kids an education.

Prince William and Kate Middleton spend more than $100,000 anually on their kids’ schooling

William and Kate began enrolling their children at Lambrook School shortly after they moved out of London in favor of a quieter life in Windsor. William and Kate now live in Adelaide Cottage, which is a smaller, low-key home set away from the pomp and circumstance of the rest of the royal family.

For proper schooling and security, William and Kate are willing to spare no expense. The prince and princess will soon be paying around $104,000 to send their children to Lambrook. According to Express, the current tuition rate is said to see an increase starting in January 2025. As with most private schools, it’s a tiered tuition program, meaning the higher the grade level, the more expensive the school is. But for all three, it’s going to cost the royal parents six figures.

While most grade-school education in the UK is free, it certainly makes sense why William and Kate would pay top dollar for their kids. But with all of the kids being elementary school age, it’s kind of hard to believe it costs so much.

Prince William and Kate Middleton want to give their kids normal lives

William and Kate have worked hard to keep their children out of the spotlight as much as possible. The two relocated to Windsor with the hope of doing just that, and they only allow their children to attend royal major royal events that take place on rare occasions, such as King Charles’ coronation or Trooping the Colour. Occasionally, the kids attend sporting events with their parents, with George appearing at soccer games alongside William, and Charlotte attending Wimbledon with her mother.

William and Kate have not said exactly how they informed their kids of the importance of their status or the kids’ direct ties to royalty, but it seems that George and Charlotte have started grasping that their upbringing is quite different from most kids their age.
