Prince William, Kids Jump for Joy to Celebrate His 42nd Birthday, but Where’s Kate Middleton?
Prince William jumped for joy to celebrate his 42nd birthday alongside children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. The Prince and Princess of Wales released a visually stunning photograph of the future monarch with his three children to honor him on his special day. But where was Kate Middleton?
Prince William marks milestone birthday in fun photo with kids but not Kate Middleton
After months of uncertainty regarding the cancer battles of his wife, Kate Middleton, and father, King Charles, the Prince of Wales celebrated his 42nd birthday with a renewed outlook on life. A new photo shared on Instagram reflects this.
William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis dressed casually for a photo where they jumped over a dune. The casual image shows the royal’s zest for life and reflects what William finds most important.
But where was Kate Middleton? While the Princess of Wales didn’t appear in the image, she did take the photo and had a part in writing its sentimental message.
It reads, “Happy birthday, Papa. We all love you so much!” Kate signed the message with an x representing a kiss and her first initial, “C.”
This image piggybacks on another beachy image the family shared on Instagram for Father’s Day. That snap showed William, George, Charlotte, and Louis as they looked out over the ocean with their backs to the camera.
The sweet snap is a winner, according to the family’s social media followers
The sweet snap was a hit with the royal family’s social media followers. Fans of the clan adored the photo’s casual nature and sentimental caption.
“Brilliant photo,” wrote one fan. Another wrote, “Amazing photo; you all look so very happy.”
A third follower shared, “Happy Birthday, William, fantastic photo by Catherine.” A fourth noted, “Gorgeous photograph!! And how sweet is the “C x” (x means kiss!) The happiest of birthdays to the future king!”
Prince William birthday photo proves he puts Kate Middleton and family first
Since welcoming his first son, Prince George, in 2013, Prince William has spoken openly about fatherhood. As he and Kate Middleton continued to grow their family with Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, William ensured he cultivated a happy and productive life for his children outside the royal family spotlight.
“As far as we’re concerned, within our family unit, we are a normal family. I love my children the same way any father does, and I hope George loves me the same way any son does to his father, so we are very normal in that sense,” William said, per The Telegraph.
In a separate quote he added, “I take my duties and my responsibilities to my family very seriously. I want to bring my children up as good people.”
To British GQ, William explained, “Stability at home is so important to me. “I want to bring up my children in a happy, stable, secure world, and that is so important to both [Kate and I] as parents.”
Kate Middleton, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis will reportedly celebrate Prince William’s birthday privately.
