Prince William’s Recent Outing With a Rarely-Seen Family Member Suggests He and Prince Harry Could Soon End Their Feud
Prince William has maintained royal duties and appearances during a year when the family was plagued with hardship. All the while, his relationship with his brother, Prince Harry, continues to be nonexistent. Still, William and Harry each have a close relationship with many of the same royal family members. The Prince of Wales was recently spotted with a nonroyal family member, and it has led some to believe that this could be the key to Harry and William healing their royal rift.
Prince William’s outing with Princess Diana’s sister could change things with Prince Harry
William and Harry reportedly have not spoken since the two joined their wives, Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle respectively, on a royal walkabout shortly after Queen Elizabeth II’s death back in 2022. The brothers have not had a good relationship since right around the time Harry decided he was going to propose to Meghan, and despite a number of difficulties that many thought would bring the brothers together, they continue to be estranged.
However, there might be a light at the end of the tunnel. Prince Harry was recently in town to attend the funeral of his uncle, Lord Robert Fellowes, who was married to Princess Diana’s older sister, Jane. Harry saw plenty of Diana’s family members there, including her other sister, his Aunt Sarah. Harry also reportedly stayed at Diana’s family home during the trip.
Although Harry and William didn’t speak to each other at the occasion (William was also in attendance), shortly after the funeral, William attended a royal engagement with his Aunt Sarah at his side. This raised eyebrows, but in a good way. The two brothers both being close to Diana’s sister could mean that she could be the link between the two getting back on good terms.
“I am delighted to see so many family and friends here — I know their love and support will have been instrumental in getting you to this point,” William said in a speech while his aunt looked on, according to Express. William said the words while attending the Sovereign’s Parade at the Royal Air Force College in Cranwell.

Interestingly, the decision for Sarah to join her nephew comes shortly after news broke that Charles Spencer, Diana’s brother, has reportedly invited Harry, Meghan, and their children to spend Christmas at Althorp, Diana’s family’s home.
Although Harry and William still aren’t speaking, the Spencer family’s decision to maintain close ties with Harry seemingly has not impacted William’s relationship with his mother’s family. This on its own is a good sign, because if Diana’s family is close with both brothers, then perhaps their aunt could be the one who gets them to speak.
Of course, Harry and William have so much to work through before they are back on good terms, but the brothers spending time with Diana’s family is certainly not a bad sign.
