Prince William Shows Love to Kate Middleton By Making Her Favorite Cocktail Whenever She Wants It: ‘They Look After Each Other’
Prince William and Kate Middleton have known each other since they were teenagers. It started out innocent enough — two people who became friends in college — but eventually turned into a romance. Now, the future king and queen don’t get that much alone time together, but William reportedly takes care of his wife by making a cocktail she loves after they put their kids to bed.
Prince William reportedly makes Kate Middleton a gin and tonic when she wants it
William and Kate first met when they were both students at the University of St. Andrews. They started out as friends, but during their sophomore year, they decided to live together along with a few other people. It seems like the close quarters brought them closer together, given that they eventually developed a relationship. Ultimately, the two dated from 2002 until about 2010, when William proposed; they wed in 2011, and today, they are the future king and queen and share three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
But William and Kate still do little things to show each other affection. And when the kids go to bed, Kate occasionally likes to unwind with a cocktail. A source close to the couple says William will go ahead and make her a gin and tonic whenever she’s had a long day.
“William will bring Kate a gin and tonic,” a source confirmed to The Daily Record. “They look after each other, but in different ways.”
William and Kate have been through so much this year with Kate’s cancer diagnosis, and the two are likely excited to get to spend any quality time together that they can.
Prince William and Kate Middleton are putting family first
It’s important to the future king and queen that they continue to put each other and their kids first. Kate took off for most of 2024 to focus on her health, and when she released a video in late summer announcing that she is cancer free, she made it all about family. It’s clear that while the monarchy means a lot to William and Kate, their family dynamic — and giving their children a positive upbringing — is what matters more.
Kate has returned to royal duties, but she’s still taking it slow. The princess will attend this year’s Christmas mass along with other members of the royal family, but she’s still taking her time with recovery and putting her focus on her kids and husband.
