When Prince Harry exited the British royal family as a senior working royal, fans and royal experts were stunned. Many people even tried to blame his wife, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex. While some royal fans have accepted the idea, Harry’s resignation greatly upset his older brother, Prince William.

Though the princes are on much better terms these days, Prince Harry’s latest tribute to Princess Diana may have really upset Prince William.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are finding major success outside of the British royal family

Though people were horrified when they announced they were leaving the British royal family, Meghan and Harry have been thriving since Megxit. On his podcast, Heirpod royal reporter Omid Scobie said,

The couple had been thriving and have taken their careers as philanthropists to a whole other level. It shows how much they were held back by tradition, hierarchy, and stubbornness within the institution. This is the couple operating in a way they were desperate to for some time but couldn’t for a number of reasons, many of which tie into what is considered too politically sensitive or not.

With several new ventures already in place, this seems like only the beginning for the pair.

Prince William and Prince Harry are on much better terms now

Things had reportedly been rocky between the royal brothers for years. It apparently all began when Harry introduced Meghan to his family, and William allegedly asked his brother to slow down the romance. Things escalated following the Sussexes’ marriage.

However, following Megxit and Harry and Meghan’s move to California, and Prince Charles’ COVID-19 diagnosis. things have gotten much better. “There have been clearly some quite major rifts in that relationship, but things have got better, and I know that William and Harry are in touch on the phone,” royal expert Katie Nicholl told Entertainment Tonight. “They have done video calls together, they have done a lot of family birthdays and I think with Prince Charles not being well, that really forced the brothers to pick up the phone and get back in touch.”

It looks like time apart has allowed some old wounds to heal. “The brothers are in regular contact, and the Sussexes have sent Christmas gifts to the Cambridge family,” Nicholl reported to Vanity Fair. “Harry and Will’s relationship is much better than it was. I have no doubt they will be video calling each other over Christmas.”

Still, despite being on better terms with his younger brother, Prince William is not pleased about the Sussexes deals with Netflix and Spotify. Nor is he at all happy about Prince Harry’s latest tribute to Princess Diana.

On their new Archewell website, both Meghan and Harry posted tributes to their mothers, along with sweet photos of themselves in their mothers’ arms. Royal expert Phil Dampier, author of Royally Suited: Harry and Meghan In Their Own Words, explained that the tribute tho well-meaning, might not sit well with Harry. He said,

I think William will be slightly worried if Harry uses Diana for any of his charitable or commercial ventures without consulting him, and I don’t think he would be happy if Harry appears to be exploiting his mother’s iconic status. It’s also very significant that Harry called himself his ‘mother’s son’ but has made no mention of Prince Charles. William is very much following now in his father’s footsteps with his environmental and conservation work. And although Harry has praised his father in the past, it seems odd not to mention him more and work in conjunction with him, rather than separately.

Hopefully, this doesn’t cause any new issues.
