Prince William Went From Singing on Stage With Taylor Swift to Busting Moves at Her Concert in Viral Video
Taylor Swift mania officially swept over London in the hours leading up to the pop star’s first show at Wembley Stadium.
The Buckingham Palace military band welcomed the “Anti-Hero” singer to the city with an arrangement of her hit “Shake It Off” and titled it “Changing of the Guard (Taylor’s Version).” And royal family members shared in the excitement for Swift’s arrival as Prince William reunited with his old pal, attending the first night of her Eras Tour at Wembley.
The Prince of Wales made it a family affair by bringing along his two oldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, who are said to be huge Swifties. Now, we’re wondering if they have any idea that their dad once sang on stage with the “Fortnight” artist.
Here’s more on that, and the video of William busting out some serious moves during Swift’s sold-out concert.

Eagle-eyed fans also at Wembley on June 21, spotted William with his kids and cousin Zara and her husband, Mike Tindall. That video has since gone viral.
The clip shows the future king dancing like nobody’s watching as Swift belts out “Shake It Off.”
After the show, William took his children backstage to meet Swift and they got selfies with the singer and her boyfriend, NFL tight end Travis Kelce.
Swift held the camera and snapped selfies of the group. She then posted a pic to Instagram and shared it with her 283 million followers writing, “Happy Bday, M8! London shows are off to a splendid start,” referencing William’s 42nd birthday which was that same day.
The Prince and Princess of Wales’ social media account also shared that photo and another captioning it: “Thank you, Taylor Swift, for a great evening!”
William once shared the stage with Swift and another superstar
Once upon a time, before the future king was jamming with his children to Swift’s hits, he was rocking out with her and Jon Bon Jovi.
The year was 2013 and the event was the Centrepoint Gala Dinner, a charity event for homelessness.
The prince and Swift joined the Bon Jovi frontman for a rendition of the 1986 hit “Livin’ on a Prayer.” William later admitted that he was a nervous wreck and couldn’t even remember the words when he got up on stage.
“To this day, I still do not know what came over me,” the Prince of Wales recalled in an episode of Apple Fitness+’s Time to Walk podcast. “Honestly, even now I’m cringing at what happened next, and I don’t understand why I gave in. But, frankly, if Taylor Swift looks you in the eye, touches your arm, and says, ‘Come with me…’ I got up like a puppy and went, ‘Yeah, OK, that seems like a great idea. I’ll follow you.
“I walked up on stage in a trance, and then sort of halfway through Jon Bon Jovi’s ‘Livin’ on a Prayer’ song, I wake up and I’m thinking to myself, ‘Am I standing on the stage singing … when I don’t even know the words?'”
William added that thankfully the crowd was “loving it and cheering away.”
