A number of royal watchers have said that King Charles‘ health over the last few months has been somewhat of a mystery. In January, the Palace announced that the monarch was having a routine procedure done to treat an enlarged prostate. Several days later, tests done at the hospital prior to the monarch’s procedure revealed that he had cancer. The type of cancer he has was not made public.

While King Charles’ privacy has mostly been respected, well-wishers who meet other royals still ask about the monarch’s health from time to time. This was the case for Queen Camilla (formerly known as Camilla Parker Bowles) during a recent engagement, and she had a six-word response for how the king was doing.

Queen Camilla’s response when asked about King Charles’ health now

King Charles returned to royal duties months ago and has been seen out and about on many occasions. However, there are some reports that claim he’s been doing too much, causing him to become overworked and his wife wants him to slow down.

Well, perhaps after hearing those reports or just out of genuine concern, a woman asked Camilla about the king’s health during the queen’s visit to the new Dyson Cancer Center at Royal United Hospitals in Bath, England, on Sept. 3.

Express noted that Suzie Moon, who works for MacMillan partnership, inquired about the monarch as it’s believed he is still undergoing treatment for his cancer.

She asked Camilla: “Is he doing OK?” to which the queen replied, “Yes, he is doing very well.”

Expert says king looked ‘relaxed’ and showed his ‘fun side’ during a recent engagement

King Charles attended an engagement recently, along with his wife, when he opened the Royal Horticultural Society of Aberdeen’s 200th Flower Show in Scotland on Aug. 31.

Darren Stanton is a body language and behavioral expert with a degree in psychology. He previously worked as a police officer and used his expertise to uncover the truth when interviewing hundreds of suspects. He later moved into media and TV as a consultant and has been dubbed the “Human Lie Detector.” The expert analyzed the king’s demeanor at the flower show and commented on how he looked to be in good spirits and very “relaxed” even showing off his “fun side.”

Speaking on behalf of Betfair Casino, Stanton explained: “We saw Charles making a conscious effort to get stuck in at the flower show. He was consistently involved and showed his fun, confident, and humorous side without even noticing. It all came to him easily. We saw him laughing and his posture was very loose, proving he was able to let himself go.

“The king wanted to connect with people. We know this is genuine as he was actively listening the whole time by maintaining strong eye contact, shaking people’s hands and even leaning in closer when interacting in conversation. When carrying out his Royal duties, Charles now appears to be very relaxed and completely at ease. He takes it in his stride naturally without showing signs of distress or nervousness.”
