The debut season of Raised By Wolves premiered in September 2020, so fans have been waiting for new episodes for well over a year. Luckily, the HBO Max show is set to return very soon.
Raised By Wolves Season 2 release date is February 3, 2022. New episodes will air weekly, on Thursdays, on HBO and HBO Max.
How many episodes is ‘Raised By Wolves’ Season 2?
The sci-fi series gave viewers 10 riveting episodes to enjoy in its first season. But unfortunately, it looks like the 2022 installment will be just a little shorter.
Raised By Wolves Season 2 will be eight episodes long. And with the Feb. 3 premiere date, the eighth episode/season finale should air on March 24, 2022.
Who’s in the ‘Raised By Wolves’ cast for season 2?
Raised By Wolves Season 2 will see many season 1 cast members returning, including Amanda Collin and Abubakar Salim as Mother and Father. Travis Fimmel and Niamh Algar will reprise their roles as Marcus and Sue.
Winta McGrath returns as Campion. And several of the young actors portraying the Ark children will also appear.
Some of the new cast members for season 2 include Peter Christoffersen as Clever; Selina Jones as Grandmother; Morgan Santo as Vrille; James Harkness as Tamerlane; Kim Engelbrecht as Decima; and Jennifer Saayeng as Nerva.
What is season 2 of ‘Raised By Wolves’ about?
Season 1 of Raised By Wolves follows two humanoid robots, Mother and Father, who are tasked with raising human children on a planet called Kepler-22B after Earth is decimated by war. Eventually, other colonists arrive and threaten the androids’ directives.
While Mother is revealed to be a much more powerful being than the colonists expected, some colonists come upon a mysterious temple somehow connected to Marcus’ consciousness.
The Raised By Wolves Season 2 trailer teases a lot more Sci-fi drama to come. In the trailer, Mother questions if she is becoming “too human,” while Marcus appears to fully embrace his role as a prophet.
In an interview with Collider, showrunner Aaron Guzikowski said season 2 will reveal the existence of another mysterious temple and add more colonists to the planet. He teased Marcus would go through a rebirth after going mad from the voices in his head. And he suggested viewers will get to see more of what’s happening on Earth.
“There’ll be more flashbacks, and perhaps some present-day Earth peeks as well to see what might be going on there, after everything’s over,” he said.
The showrunner also noted that he has a few more seasons planned, suggesting fans will have a lot more to look forward to past season 2. “It’s a good, long five, six-season arc for the whole thing in terms of the map that exists now,” Guzikowski told the outlet.
