Jack Reacher is back in action. Reacher Season 3 is coming to Prime Video on Feb. 20, and we have everything you need to know about the new episodes of the Alan Ritchson series, including when they’re releasing, new cast members, and more.

The new season has eight episodes in total, with subsequent episodes releasing on Thursdays through March 27.
What is the new season of ‘Reacher’ about?
The third season of Reacher hurtles its titular hero “into the dark heart of a vast criminal enterprise when trying to rescue an undercover DEA informant whose time is running out,” according to Amazon’s synopsis. “There [Reacher] finds a world of secrecy and violence—and confronts some unfinished business from his own past.”
In episode 1, Reacher is in Maine, where he witnesses the attempted kidnapping of college student Richard Beck. He intervenes, which leads to him accepting a job offer from Richard’s father, plunging him into a world full of dangerous criminals.
In the new episodes, the famously powerful Reacher meets his physical match in the form of Paulie (Olivier Richters). A teaser (via YouTube) shows the pair facing off in an arm-wrestling challenge, with Reacher using his wits to outwit his stronger opponent.
Is ‘Reacher’ Season 3 based on a book?
The Reacher series is based on Lee Child’s best-selling series of novels about a former military police officer turned vigilante. Season 1 premiered in 2022 and was based on Child’s first Reacher novel, Killing Floor. Season 2 premiered in late 2023 and was based on the 11th book in the series, Bad Luck and Trouble.
Reacher Season 3 is based on Persuader. It’s the seventh book in the series.
Who is in the ‘Reacher’ Season 3 cast?
Of course, Alan Ritchson is back at Jack Reacher in the new season. Maria Sten also reprises her role as Frances Neagley.
In addition to Richters, new season 3 cast members include Anthony Michael Hall as Zachary Beck, Sonya Cassidy as Susan Duffy, Brian Tee as Quinn, Johnny Berchtold as Richard Beck, Robert Montesinos as Guillermo Villanueva, and Daniel David Stewart as Steven Elliot.
Will there be a ‘Reacher’ Season 4?
Yes! After Reacher Season 2 hit viewing records in 2023, Prime Video gave the show an early season 4 renewal. The fourth season will begin shooting sometime in 2025. A Reacher spinoff focused on Neagley is also in the works.
There’s no word yet on which book will be adapted for season 4. Child has written (or co-written) 29 Jack Reacher books, plus a collection of stories, so there is plenty of material to choose from.
