While Martha is out as a possible celebrity contestant on The Golden Bachelorette, a different female celebrity was confirmed to have been approached by the series.

In an interview with Fox News Digital, Kathie Lee Gifford revealed she was asked to star in the ABC dating franchise series earlier this year. However, she turned producers down.

“Here’s the thing. You know what you get when you get in a hot tub? Diseases, diseases,” Gifford said. “And you know what happens when you start kissing people that you have no idea where their lips have been?”

She added, “It’s just dumb. So, until you have trust with someone, they don’t give you much time before they want you in the hot tub.”

“I’ve talked to the producers about it, and they said, ‘We realized it would be a different kind of show if you do it.’ I said, ‘Uhhh yeah!’ So, I don’t see it happening.”

While Kathie Lee’s Son Cody Gifford is on board with the idea, her daughter Cassidy is not. She told her mother the idea of her dating on television is a “hard no.”

The Golden Bachelorette airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
