How to make Ree Drummond’s Garlic Spinach Spaghetti
Now for the details on Drummond’s Garlic Spinach Spaghetti. She and her mom cooked spaghetti and saved some of the pasta water.
Next, they browned butter in a pan before adding red pepper flakes and garlic. Then they gradually added spaghetti, spinach, lemon juice, and cheese.
“The idea is to keep moving everything around,” Drummond said. “We’re going to add pasta, spinach, Parmesan, and lemon until we’ve used all the ingredients.”
It’s during this process that the pasta water comes in handy. “My mom just pointed out a really important step and that is …” Drummond said before Schwert chimed in with “pasta water.”
Why? “So that it doesn’t get too dry in here add a little bit at a time as you need,” Schwert explained.
After they added all of the ingredients and the spinach had wilted, Drummond and her mom sprinkled the pasta with more Parmesan cheese as well as freshly ground black pepper. With one last toss to make sure everything was coated they served Drummond’s Garlic Spinach Spaghetti.
The entire process should take, according to Food Network, approximately 25 minutes. Once again, it’s another simple and relatively quick Pioneer Woman pasta recipe.
Additionally, Drummond’s Garlic Spinach Pasta is versatile enough to make for a dinner party or a casual weeknight meal. Best of all, it only requires nine ingredients, many of which are pantry staples.
