‘RHOP’: Why Wendy Osefo Thinks Karen Huger ‘Looks Like a Hypocrite’ for Mocking Her Degrees
During a conversation, Karen Huger commented on Dr. Wendy Osefo’s doctorate, which quickly got back to the newest housewife in The Real Housewives of Potomac season 5 episode 14. The ladies got into an argument about it before Huger “slithered” out of the door. In an after-show, Osefo called the OG housewife a “hypocrite” for mocking her “educational attainment.”
Karen Huger and Wendy Osefo haven’t seen eye to eye on ‘RHOP‘
Introduced in season 5, Karen Huger claimed she didn’t know political commentator Dr. Wendy Osefo, even though the ladies sat on a board together, starting on a bad foot.
They did not see eye to eye when it came to Monique Samuels and Candiace Dillard’s physical altercation because Huger tried to declare herself neutral while the political commentator felt like the fragrance owner should have held Samuels more accountable.
Huger attempted to speak about the issue with Dillard at Osefo’s event, but the newest housewife intervened as she thought it would get heated. The Grand Dame didn’t appreciate the interruption and felt she knew the ladies better.
Osefo then told Gizelle Bryant about an intoxicated conversation Huger had with the other ladies at Samuels’ lake house two months prior in which she addressed her and her husband’s previous tax issues.
When Bryant brought the information back to Huger, the OG housewife noted Osefo isn’t a doctor and impersonated her walk. Bryant told Osefo what Huger said, and the newest housewife became offended.
She later confronted the Grand Dame, and the ladies got into an argument before Huger quelled it by mocking her walk again.
The other housewives weighed in on the tension between Osefo and Huger
During a segment in The Real Housewives of Potomac season 5 episode 14 after show, Bryant and Ashley Darby acknowledged Osefo and Huger have a history together as they served on the same board.
However, Bryant noted that the fragrance owner “treats” the political commentator as if she’s “beneath her.” Huger insisted that she “likes” Osefo and would like to get to know the newest housewife better but hasn’t liked her “approaches.”
She also claimed she’s “proud” of Osefo for her accomplishments but doesn’t think she should “brag” about it.
On the other hand, the political commentator thinks Huger has “an internal struggle” and isn’t confident in herself due to the “attack” on her education as Osefo believes it’s “something Blacks have fought hard to achieve.”
Osefo thinks Huger ‘looks like a hypocrite’ for mocking her degrees
Although Huger thinks Osefo was “reaching,” the newest housewife claims she wanted to prove that the fragrance owner looked like a “hypocrite” for speaking negatively about her to others while remaining friendly to her face.
The political commentator also said she believes Huger is “laughing in the face of their ancestors” by mocking her degrees. Therefore, she would appreciate it if the Grand Dame “shut the f**k up.”
Huger addressed her impersonation of Osefo’s walk and noted she thinks Osefo takes things “too seriously.” Therefore, she wanted to add humor to show it wasn’t as serious of a situation as the political commentator thought.
Osefo laughed as Huger “slithered” out of the door, ending their beef for the time being. The Real Housewives of Potomac airs Sundays at 9/8c on Bravo.
