‘RHOA’ Alum Claudia Jordan Turned Down Kanye West Due to ‘Girl Code’
Former Real Housewives of Atlanta star Claudia Jordan just made a shocking claim about Kanye West amid his impending divorce from Kim Kardashian West.
During a recent Instagram Live appearance, the reality star revealed that West “tried to” hook up with her back in the day. But, the most shocking part about her claim was that this situation allegedly took place while the rapper was dating the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star.
Talk about some piping hot tea.
Claudia Jordan says she once rejected Kanye West’s advances
On Apr. 20, Jordan appeared on The Domenick Nati Show, where she made an unexpected claim about West.
While sitting in the car alongside her boyfriend KJ Dismute, Jordan was asked if she would ever consider dating the “Flashing Lights” rapper now that he’s newly single.
Without hesitation, the reality star slammed the suggestion, telling Nati that West had already tried to pursue her in the past.
“No. Kanye tried to already, so no, thank you,” she said.
Jordan then looked at her boyfriend and reminded him of the story.
“He tried years ago,” she continued. “Me and Nikki Chu were in the club. They shut the door… I told you that whole story.”
Though she didn’t go into further details about her fateful encounter with West, Jordan revealed that she ultimately turned him down out of respect for Kardashian West, who was dating the rapper at the time.
“I met him before and, you know what, I hung out with Kim as well,” Jordan recalled. “And [because of] Girl Code, I couldn’t do it. Let’s say that.”

The RHOA alum’s comment about the “Famous” rapper comes two months after he and Kardashian West split.
Those who’ve been keeping up with KimYe’s relationship know that the couple had been experiencing marital troubles leading up to the news of their breakup.
Though the KKW Beauty mogul had reached her wits end with West following his controversial presidential campaign, she still tried her best to keep their marriage intact.
From taking family vacations with their kids to seeing marriage counselors, the reality star was determined to make her marriage work.
Unfortunately, Kardashian West’s attempts ended up not paying off in the end because on Feb. 19, 2021, she filed for divorce from the rapper.
At the time, it was reported that Kardashian West was seeking joint legal and physical custody of her and West’s four children: North, 7, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 1.
On Apr. 9, West filed divorce papers of his own, requesting joint legal and physical custody of the children. He also cited irreconcilable differences as the primary reason for their split and agreed that spousal support isn’t necessary moving forward.
Though neither Kardashian West nor West has publicly addressed their impending divorce, sources say the reality star is doing well amid their breakup.
“For every week that goes by since she filed for divorce, Kim seems happier,” an insider recently told People. “She knows that filing for divorce was the right decision. The kids are doing as good as she could hope.”
Meanwhile, a separate source revealed that the SKIMS founder is currently adjusting to her new life.
“[Kim] has been doing her best to surround herself with her family and good friends, be social, go out and, of course, take care of her children,” a source told Entertainment Tonight. “She is focused on making sure her kids are taken care of and protected. But she is definitely still getting used to her new norm.”
