‘RHOA’: Cynthia Bailey Fuels Rumors She is Hopping Coasts to ‘RHOBH’
Rumors about casting for season 13 The Real Housewives of Atlanta have swirled since winter. With some ladies feuding and others losing their favor with fans, it is anyone’s guess.
If you survey viewers, there will be those who tell you Kenya Moore should go, others who want Phaedra Parks to return, and another set wondering what Cynthia Bailey plans to do.
There was also gossip that Eva Marcille would getting her walking papers. There is too much to keep up with, but questions over Bailey’s future certainly have merit for longtime fans of the show. Could she be heading to another part of the country?
For Cynthia Bailey, season 12 was about her fiancé
Early in the season, Bailey’s beau Mike Hill popped the question. Though the occasion was marred by the actions of Moore, the model/entrepreneur was over the moon about getting married.
Fans got to see how the pair make their bi-coastal relationship work while juggling family, friends, and work obligations.
Bailey admitted it hasn’t always been easy, but she and Hill are deeply in love, and for a while, they took turns flying out to see each other. Fans learned that Bailey’s daughter, Noelle, moved out to California and was staying with Hill while pursuing a career in entertainment.
Off-camera, Bailey took a trip
Outside of the show, Bailey and Hill are hunkered down in Los Angeles together along with their daughters (all from previous relationships). Instagram snaps and reunion chats reveal that Bailey is happy to be out on the West Coast with her man.
The wedding—which is set for October—may be delayed due to COVID-19 setbacks. Bailey’s made it clear in interviews that it’s difficult being apart and the couple would need to decide where to settle down once they’re married.
Viewers are curious too, and that’s led to rumors that Bailey may join the cast of a different Real Housewives collective. Murmurs of a jump to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills are gaining traction.
What Bailey says about ‘RHOBH’ rumors
Bailey gave an exclusive interview to Hollywood Life and specifically addressed the chatter about making the switch to Beverly Hills.
“There’s been a lot of talk about me transitioning to [RHOBH], and I’m quite friendly with a lot of the ladies on [RHOBH] as well. I don’t know what the future holds for me. All I know is whatever God wants Cynthia Bailey to do, that’s what I will do.”
She noted she’s been on the show for 11 years and never intended to be on it forever. Bailey said when Bravo decides it’s time for her to go, that will be it.
“I would like to be able to at least show where I’m at in my life with my wedding right now, but I’m pretty good. Bravo’s been good to me and Truly Original has been really good to me, and there is life after the show. I have a lot of things in life that I do other than the show. It’s good. It’s good.”
If Bailey does wind up swapping, it would be a first for Bravo and the Real Housewives franchise. Since filming is on pause for the shows, fans will have to wait and see what’s in store for season 13 of RHOA and the future of RHOBH. Perhaps Bailey will make history.
