Drew Sidora joins season 13 of ‘RHOA’

In July, Love B. Scott broke the news that Sidora joined the cast as a new full-time cast member of RHOA. Sidora allegedly was vetted for several seasons, even filming scenes as far as 2013 with other cast members.

Sidora is an actress and singer whose breakout role was as Chantel in the Disney Channel original series That’s So Raven. The Chicago native also guest-starred in film and television, including Girlfriends, White Chicks, and Never Die Alone. She had a lead role in the 2006 dance flick Step Up.

One of her most notable roles was as herself in The Game as the mistress to Derwin Davis. Sidora also starred as T-Boz, lead singer of TLC, in the group’s VH1 biopic CrazySexyCool

She has been married to Ralph Pittman since 2014. The couple have two children together and also raise Sidroa’s son from a previous relationship.

The RHOA newby is being welcomed with open arms by her co-stars, namely Porsha Williams. Williams told her Dish Nation co-stars, “As far as Drew goes, I’ve met her before because she came on here [Dish Nation] with Brat [to promote the Set It Off play],” she said. “So I met Drew Sidora then, she’s a superfun girl.”

Drew Sidora says marital issues are key to her storyline for season 13; admits marriage is tested during coronavirus quarantine

In the trailer for the upcoming season, Sidora reveals to the group that during an argument between her and her husband, he disappeared for three days without answering any phone calls or text messages.

“Me and my husband, we’ve almost been divorced,” Sidora says. “He left and didn’t tell me where he was…for like three days.”

Sidora admits that the ordeal put a strain on their already tense marriage. In another scene, Sidora confronts her husband about his disappearance and demands answers.

In an interview with Us Weekly, Sidora says her marital issues are a huge part of this season’s storyline.

“Throughout the season, you’ll see us kind of working on issues that we may have put on the back burner,” she says. “And now being in this position, we’re forced to have these hard conversations and really deal with the issues in our marriage.”

Sidora says her mother was a witness to the couple’s fallout as a result of Pittman’s disappearance. She lived with Sidora during the coronavirus quarantine and Sidora relies on her mother for support. This also causes additional drama in her marriage. Luckily, the couple is in “active counseling” to resolve their issues.

She admits that prior to counseling, she was not happy in her marriage. “I find myself having, just to put on a strong face for [my kids],” she said. “To act like this is normal and really deep down inside, I was going through it emotionally.”

Season 13 of RHOA premieres on Sunday, Dec. 6 on Bravo at 8 pm EST.
