‘RHOA’: Falynn Guobadia Breaks Silence on Porsha Williams’ Engagement to Her Ex-Husband
It has been a whirlwind 24 hours in the world of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. First, Porsha Williams announced that she was dating Falynn Guobadia’s ex-husband, Simon Guobadia, and then Simon revealed that the two were actually engaged. Williams’ ex-fiancé, Dennis McKinley, has spoken on the situation but how does RHOA newcomer Falynn feel?
‘RHOA’ star Porsha Williams is engaged to Falynn’s husband
Things started getting a little strange on Mother’s Day when Williams posted a photo of her with McKinley and Simon, with her hand resting on Simon’s chest. Then, a few days later, Williams confirmed the relationship.
“Our relationship began a month ago—yes we are crazy in love,” she captioned a picture of her and Simon. “I know it’s fast but we are living life each day to its fullest. I choose happiness every morning and every night. Tuning out all negative energy and only focused on positive wishes. He makes me so happy and to me, that is what matters most.”
She went on to say that she had nothing to do with Simon’s divorce from Falynn and that she and Falynn were not friends, despite the fact that Falynn was introduced on RHOA as Williams’ friend.
“Simon and Dennis are committed to being respectful and supportive of my happiness in this situation, as well as being the best co-parents they can be to baby PJ,” she continued. “Two black men stepping up and being amazing people-let’s praise them!!!! It’s truly a beautiful moment in my life & we cannot wait to spend the rest of our lives together. xo”
Later, Simon made his own post, announcing that the two were already engaged.
“What we have is what we wish every single one of you out there – happiness,” he wrote on Instagram. “So when I asked…she said yes. That is ALL that mattered. Thank you again for your love and support. Truly appreciated.”
Falynn and Simon’s divorce
Fans were introduced to Falynn on RHOA season 13. Simon and Falynn were just married in June of 2019 and only announced their split at the end of last month.
“After two years of marriage and 5 years of friendship, Simon and I have made the difficult decision to go our separate ways,” Falynn wrote on her Instagram Story on Apr. 22.
“We are deeply thankful for the impact we have made in each other’s lives, as well as the bonds formed with each other’s children. This mutual decision was not made lightly.”
On Simon’s Instagram Story, he also said that the split was a mutual decision.
How does ‘RHOA’ star Falynn feel about the engagement?
McKinley seems to be fine with the new relationship as Williams said he and Simon are working together to co-parent Williams and McKinley’s child, Pilar. But most fans have been worried about how Falynn feels. Well, hours after Williams and Simon’s announcement, she finally broke her silence.
“I want to thank everyone for reaching out to me and offering their love and support,” Falynn wrote in a statement on Instagram. “At this time, I am focusing on finalizing my divorce and healing. Sending positivity to all of you.”
According to documents obtained by People. Faylnn and Simon’s divorce is not finalized but they did reach a settlement last month.
