‘RHOA’: Kandi Burruss Claims Fans Want Eva Marcille Back, Twitter Disagrees
Kandi Burruss has been confirmed to return to The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 13. The ladies of the ATL are getting ready to start filming the new season in the middle of a pandemic. One confirmed absence will be Eva Marcille who quit the show after holding a peach for two seasons. Burruss is now claiming fans want the former model to return but viewers disagree.
Why did Eva Marcille quit?
Although Marcille claimed that she was not going anywhere when Nene Leakes dropped her name as a housewife that should be cut from RHOA, she ultimately quit. After the Bravo reality series wrapped on television, Marcille released a statement confirming she was leaving the show.
“I appreciate the bond of friendship that I have made with several of my castmates and the strong personal relationships I have with numerous executives and producers at the Bravo and Truly Entertainment companies,” she said in a statement to The Jasmine Brand.
Marcille was thankful for being part of the show but wanted to redirect her public persona in another direction.
“I am thankful for the opportunity I was provided however, after speaking with my family and representatives, I believe what I hope to accomplish for the culture and community will be better served by focusing on other opportunities,” Marcille added. “I look forward to serving the community under Rickey Smiley Morning Show and finding ways to be a voice during this transformational time in our country for people of color.”
Kandi Burruss says fans want Eva Marcille back
Burruss has formed a tight relationship with Marcille over the course of filming the show together. The Chi star was recently seen with Marcille, along with fellow Housewives Cynthia Bailey and Kenya Moore. With filming of RHOA Season 13 ready to start, Burruss claims people want to continue to see Marcille on the show.
“I was saying people still want [Marcille] to be amongst the group, even if she’s decided not to be a regular part of the show,” Burruss told Entertainment Tonight. “As of now, she’s like, ‘No.’ But I hope she changes her mind because, at the end of the day, we do have a genuine relationship; that wasn’t for camera or anything. She invited us over to her house because she cooked, and then she invited Kenya and Cynthia. And the cool thing is — what people are not going to get to see is — that her and Kenya are, like, really cool, super tight now.”
Fans disagree with Kandi Burruss
Being that Burruss is close to Marcille, she has a different perspective than viewers that watch RHOA from home. After the interview was shared on Twitter, many fans completely disagreed with what the Grammy-winner was claiming.
“We honestly, from deep within the bottom of our hearts do not want Eva back please,” a fan tweeted.
“Kandi, please stop promoting and suggesting lames to the show,” a viewer noted. “Bring back Phaedra Parks. Don’t nobody wanna see y’all take relationship with Eva.”
“OMG no Eva anymore, ever, Kandi,” a Twitter user commented.
“She is super boring with the same storylines season after season,” another Twitter user mentioned. “Don’t nobody want no Eva back. NOBODY! We don’t want [you] or Cynthia back either. S13 gonna be a snoozefest, I already see it.”
Bravo has not confirmed when they plan to air RHOA Season 13 as of yet.
