‘RHOA’: Kandi Burruss Gives Update on Tanya Sam’s Absence
Fans of The Real Housewives of Atlanta have been wondering where is Tanya Sam. The bubbly friend to the show disappeared from the cast after the strippergate scandal. Kandi Burruss recently joked that Sam quit filming to save her relationship with her fiancé.
Tanya Sam allegedly has threesome with stripper and Porsha Williams
Cynthia Bailey’s dungeon-themed bachelorette party was a RHOA event to remember. While much of the fun was captured by production, the cast wanted to have some fun without production around. At one point during the evening, the cast requested that the camera crew leave so that they could enjoy themselves freely.
Unbeknownst to them, there were several home video cameras throughout the rental home. Kissing action amongst the ladies was captured, as well as audio with them fawning over the stripper B.O.L.O. and his male parts.

The morning after, Kenya Moore began revealing information about what she said took place when production left. She alleges she heard various “sex noises” and “moans” between the stripper, B.O.L.O., and other women.
Per Moore, the noises she heard were from Williams’ room. Tanya Sam implicated herself in a potential threesome by revealing to the group that she was also in the room with Williams. Sam insists nothing inappropriate happened.
Tanya Sam quits filming after strippergate
TMZ reports that Sam ceased filming midway through the production season as soon as the cast return back to Atlanta following Bailey’s bachelorette party.
According to the report, Sam was already upset over allegations that her long-term fiance, Paul Judge, was unfaithful. Viewers remember during season 12 when a woman referred to as “the cookie lady” confronts Sam about Judge allegedly hitting on her at an Atlanta lounge. The strippergate ordeal proved to be too much for Sam to bear.
In addition to quitting filming, Sam was reportedly considering not attending the season 13 reunion. Though she filmed much for the season before strippergate, producers planned to phase her out as the season progressed.

“Tanya is making sure her dang on relationship is intact,” Burruss told The Jasmine Brand during a recent Instagram live conversation. “She like ‘I ain’t got time to be messing with y’all and y’all mess my dang on life up…she was like ‘I gotta go tend to my dang on fiance, let me go and get that right.’ We never saw her after South Carolina. That was a wrap.”
Furthermore, Burruss says she has not been in much contact with Sam since the incident. “No, I have not [spoken to Tanya since she stopped filming],” Burruss said. “It was one time she hit me because I guess she’s filming a project that she’s working with entrepreneurs or something and she stopped by my store or something like that and she hit me in a DM like ‘Hey, I stopped by your store’ and that was it. Other than that, she ain’t talking to me.”
Part 2 of RHOA Season 13 reunion airs Sunday at 8 pm EST on Bravo.
