‘RHOA’: Leon Robinson Says Cynthia Bailey Will Always be a Priority
Fans of The Real Housewives of Atlanta are familiar with the close friendship between Cynthia Bailey and her ex, actor Leon Robinson. Viewers have rooted for the two to reconcile but both Bailey and Robinson say it’s not an option. Still, Robinson says Bailey will always be a priority in his life and it’s all for the sake of family.

Bailey and Robinson split when Noelle was a toddler. However, the two parents have kept a tight-knit co-parenting relationship and friendship ever since. Robinson says it’s something that will never change.
“So, for me, the child comes first,” he said during a recent interview on the Allison Interviews podcast. “We have a child together and that is something that will never change, and no matter how many women I may have had in my life, only one of them has given me a child. So, for me, she has the highest respect of anyone.”
Robinson and Bailey have even stayed at one another’s homes on visits with Noelle. For Robinson, it’s all about keeping their family intact.
“We are a family through this child. We are always supposed to do what is best for one another and respect one another, but most of all, do what is best for the child, and the child needs to see two loving parents. Even if we are not together as a couple, we can still love and respect one another,” he adds. “That is what our daughter needs to see in order to grow up.”
Cynthia Bailey refers to Leon Robinson as her soulmate
The relationship between Bailey and Robinson is so sweet that it’s difficult for fans to understand why the two are no longer together. Bailey says they simply outgrew one another, but the love between them is forever. So much so that she still considers Robinson to be her soulmate.
“Leon and I are soulmates,” she once told Entertainment Tonight. “We just connected on a level that I never connected with anyone before…as you can see on the show, I think it comes through that we do have this great relationship.”
Bailey’s comments came amid her split from her ex-husband, Peter Thomas. While the relationship with Robinson is easy, Bailey says she pulled the plug on her marriage to Thomas because it was too hard. From the start, the former supermodel’s family didn’t approve of the union, believing Thomas was a risky businessman.
“[The relationship] just felt like so much work, like from the beginning,” she told ET in the same interview. “Even the wedding, everything was work… It’s exhausting. It’s exhausting in real life, and it’s definitely exhausting to watch it play out on TV.”
The ‘RHOA’ star is now married to Mike Hill
Bailey married Hill in October 2020. Robinson was not present due to work but he sent his well wishes through a touching Instagram post. Bailey says Robinson and Hill have a respectful relationship. Robinson has given Hill the stamp of approval.
While Bailey hasn’t called Hill her soulmate, she does say he’s the perfect man for her. She says they are eerily similar, calling Hill her “best friend.” The two are currently living full-time in Atlanta but commute often to LA for work and play.
