‘RHOA’: Nene Leakes and Kandi Burruss Feud and Shade Each Other for ‘Playing Victim’
Nene Leakes and Kandi Burruss from The Real Housewives of Atlanta are feuding on social media. The Bravo stars have not particularly clashed during season 12 of the show and the shade has surprised many fans. Their animosity might stem from Burruss sticking by Kenya Moore, who is not fond of Leakes. Another thing to factor in are the confessionals that the ladies film and only seen when the episodes air on TV.
Their latest social media feud started when both RHOA stars commented on an Instagram post from a fan blog.
“I can’t tell she doesn’t have an issue with me,” Burruss wrote in the comments section of Housewivesofatl. “She been steady talking about me lately & we haven’t had an argument the entire season. What have I said about her other than the joke I made about the ladies at her luncheon not being her real friends??? & I wasn’t the only one on the episode who joked about it so what’s her real issue? Go ahead and play victim …. Nobody cares.”
Leakes didn’t let those comments slide and she replied directly to her RHOA co-star writing, “I heard you were struggling to find drama this season because no one is talking about you. So accept this as a little help. Just call me 911 OK.”
Leakes then replied to Burruss’ comment calling them out for shading her.
“All you girls sit up n your interviews season after season and talk sh*t about me!” Leakes wrote. “Y’all the victims! Then actually think I shouldn’t have anything to say about it.”
The drama didn’t start there because days later Burruss made a post on Instagram. In the photo, the Xscape star shared an outfit with the caption, “Quarantined and still smiling.”
One of the comments she received was from Leakes which many fans believed was a passive-aggressive remark.
“You so cute, I love what you got on,” Leakes wrote.
‘RHOA’ reunion was canceled
Season 12 of the RHOA reunion was supposed to be filmed this past week but was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“Obviously that’s not happening,” Cohen said on his SiriusXM show. “Hopefully we will be able to shoot it just as soon as we possibly can. People are saying, ‘Why don’t you just do it remotely?’ I don’t think that that would work, I don’t think it would work well, I don’t think that’s a good idea.”
Nene Leakes will have to wait
Leakes had been teasing she was going to go hard at the reunion. She said she was going to dress up and show them who was the queen of RHOA.
“I’m going to be beat from head to toe while I do it, sitting there with a full face, wig, dress, high heels this tall, looking fabulous, and tearing the house down,” Leakes told People. “I’m going to get these girls and do it very good and walk right on out and sleep just fine. Is my money in my account? Thank you. The queen is here, you can never wear the crown. They’re all wearing tiaras.”
