‘RHOA’: Nene Leakes Says Castmates Bash and Slander Her, ‘I Don’t Know How Much Longer I’m Gonna Do This’

As usual, the beefs and feuds go beyond what viewers see on camera, and some of the ladies in season 12 have been exceptionally preoccupied with throwing shade at others or deflecting it. Nene Leakes, Eva Marcille, Kandi Burruss – we can go on – but if you’ve been watching the show, then you’re aware.
Off-camera however, there are a few sticky situations, including one between Leakes and Eva Marcille. Even from quarantined quarters, the women are finding ways to take indirect shots at one another, and in some cases, their other castmates.
Nene Leakes is ‘tired’ and says cast slanders her
She’s said it multiples times on RHOA and in interviews, but Leakes repeated it during a chat with “Hollywood Unlocked” host Jason Lee. She is tired and over it. During an Instagram Live session, Lee asked her for pointers on how to make his castmates fear him.
But Leakes didn’t have any. Instead, she told him that the women aren’t afraid of her and they bash her.
“They’re not afraid of me. They try to bash me and slander me; I’m over it. That’s what they do. They bash me and slander my name. I don’t know how much [more] longer I’m gonna do this.”
Lee urged Leakes not to leave, saying she needs to stay on the show because it’s more entertaining when she’s on it. It’s not the first time there was chatter about Leakes quitting RHOA, but she sounds like she’s had enough.
Leakes added, “But you know what? I’m tired. It’s not fair. You know, if they’re not gonna be fair, I can’t do this show. It has to be fair.”
Leakes feels targeted, thinks some ‘RHOA’ friendships aren’t genuine
Leakes continued to explain to Lee that each season, she feels the ladies choose one person to gang up on. Leakes said she thinks this season, her castmates have targeted her.
She challenged them to “see what they can do without me.” She kept reiterating that her name carries weight, and to her, that means she has some sway with the show’s brass and the viewers.
Leakes had words for Eva Marcille
At the start of the session, Leakes told Lee that Eva Marcille is not on her level and she had nothing to say about her. Later in the call, she said Eva’s anger toward her was misplaced about the live mic incident.
In case you need a refresher, last season, Eva Marcille asked to speak to Leakes privately in the middle of filming, but requested she cut her mic. Leakes did not and their “private” conversation was recorded.
Eva Marcille was still angry about it heading into season 12, and Leakes apologized. However, during this conversation with Lee, Leakes said Eva should have been angry with Marlo Hampton and not her.
Although RHOA is finished filming for the season, Leakes and Eva Marcille have been trading jabs online for the past few weeks. Leakes assured Lee and the fans that when the reunion rolls around – which is rumored to take place virtually – she’ll be ready to come out swinging.
