All fans of The Real Housewives of Atlanta want to know what’s happening with the reunion. So much banter is being traded off-camera among some of the women that it’s serving as a promotional campaign for the show.

It’s been confirmed the reunion will be a virtual affair in the wake of COVID-19, but there are more details floating around about its setup.

Nene Leakes and Kenya Moore confirm taping this week

The two RHOA cast members said that filming for the virtual reunion event will happen this week, on April 23. Moore was a guest on The Rickey Smiley show and discussed her views on the season finale and told co-host Eva Marcille she would see her on Thursday.

Before signing off, she spoke about her portrayal on the show all season and quipped the last episode felt like an attempted assassination. Moore called Leakes a bully and stated her behavior could be equated to assault.

She compared herself to Leakes and said she would never do those things and although she’s been wrong before, she owns her mistakes. Moore also said she’s bringing receipts.

In a separate happenstance, Leakes took to Instagram Live to answer fan questions and said the reunion would shoot this week and will probably air within a week, but she wasn’t sure.

‘RHOA’ rumors reveal Andy Cohen can click the mute button

Curious about how the ladies of RHOA will be set up for the reunion? With so much friction within the cast this season and endless shade being thrown, you already know the drama will be in the red zone.

With that said, Cohen and Real Housewives producers will do their best to create an environment that both feeds into the mess and puts a clamp on it.

According to Tamara Tattles, each lady on RHOA has a small, designated production team in charge of lighting and technical setup in their own respective homes.

The site says that Cohen will have Leakes and Moore on a side-by-side split screen during the virtual broadcast to ramp up the tension and interview segment concerning their ongoing feud.

Multiple screens will show the other women. But with the power of hosting the reunion comes the power of the mute feature. Cohen will exercise his ability to cut off the sound if any of the cast members attempt to speak or yell over someone else.

If you’ve watched any reunion in the Real Housewives franchise, then you know how things can get.

‘RHOA’ fans and cast are ready for the event

In the weeks leading up to the finale, Leakes and Moore have been dragging each other in the press and on social media. But Kandi Burruss, Eva Marcille, Marlo Hampton, Cynthia Bailey, and Porsha Williams all have issues they want to address at the reunion.

It’s one event that fans are waiting for, and it seems like Bravo will share an official update soon.

It will be the first reunion conducted with social distancing measures in place, but viewers can look forward to hearing everyone air out their grievances and Cohen’s signature line of questioning with a sprinkling of shade.
