‘RHOA’: Shereé Whitfield Reveals Issues With Kim Zolciak-Biermann
Shereé Whitfield is back on The Real Housewives of Atlanta and is proving that time’s the charm. This marks her third appearance on the show in its 14-year history as a full-time housewife. She’s iconic for her witty one-liners and her alliance with Kim Zolciak-Biermann, one she recently admitted is estranged.
Shereé Whitfield is disappointed that Kim Zolciak-Biermann didn’t make it to her fashion show debut
Whitfield recently appeared on Reality With the King podcast with former RHOA producer Carlos King and dished on her return to the show and relationships with her past and current co-stars. The She by Sheree owner is debuting her long-awaited athletic leisure apparel line this season in a fashion show that was filmed for the finale episode. Despite her close relationship with Zolciak-Biermann, the two are not on the best of terms.
“You flew here and it was b—–s here that live here that I feel like should have been here,” Whitfield told King after thanking him for making the trip from LA to Atlanta to support her. She is upset with Zolciak-Biermann for not showing up to the show, despite her former co-star living in the area. She added that she hasn’t spoken to Zolciak-Biermann since she was a no show at her event, nor has the Don’t Be Tardy star reached out to her.
“I had been talking to her and she said, ‘Oh my gosh, I know this is so important to you.’ Now this is the thing: when I am not on Housewives, I get invited to a lot of these events and most times I don’t go but when it’s something that matters [I go] because I don’t care [but] these girls want to be paid,” she added. Per Whitfield, former stars of the show demand a fee from Bravo in order to attend filmed events. King explained that it’s due to the footage living for infinity. It’s unclear whether or not Zolciak-Biermann requested a fee to attend Whitfield’s show.
“I showed up to Cynthia’s wedding because it mattered. Those are the things that are important to me,” she added.
The ‘RHOA’ star speaks on previously being a fierce defender of Kim Zolciak-Biermann against viewers and co-stars
Making thongs even more hurtful, Whitfield explained that she always supports her friend’s events. She made appearances on Zolciak-Biermann’s spinoff special on numerous occasions, for free, including being a bridesmaid in her wedding as well as the release of Zolciak-Biermann’s skincare line.
Additionally, Whitfield is notorious for defending Zolciak-Biermann. During Season 10, Zolciak-Biermann was accused by co-stars of making racist remarks. Whitfield spoke out in support of Zolciak-Biermann against their co-stars and even fans.
“That’s even more disappointing because I’ve always been supportive of the people that I really mess with and I’ve even supported those I don’t mess with but for people to think I was on the wrong team [siding with Kim], I am team Sheree but that’s the type of person that I am because until I see that you’ve done me wrong or you’ve done things to me, I don’t care what you’ve done to other people,” she explained.
Kim Zolciak-Biermann was listed in Nene Leakes’ discrimination lawsuit against Bravo
Zolciak-Biermann left the show midway through season 5 and returned for one season in season 10. Since then, she’s vowed to never appear on the show again. Leakes recently listed Zolciak-Biermann in her legal case against the network, alleging they fostered a toxic work environment and allowed her former co-star to get away with discriminatory behaviors and remarks while also instigating drama between the cast. Leakes however doesn’t list Zolciak-Biermann in her list of defendants.
