‘RHOA’: Todd Tucker Defends Kandi Burruss Against Marlo Hampton’s Recent Slander
Shade between co-stars is nothing new on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. But this season, many fans and viewers are calling out Marlo Hampton for her tendency to be mean-spirited and hit below the belt. Hampton has been on a tirade against Kandi Burruss, and Burruss and her husband Todd Tucker are clapping back.

Hampton and Burruss’ history has been rocky. When Hampton first appeared on the show in Season 4, she accused Burruss of being a “suga mama” and taking care of the men she dates. Things have been a rollercoaster from there. But in recent seasons, the two seemed to be on the right track, and it was even revealed that Burruss championed for Hampton to be a full-time housewife. Both also admitted that they knew one another prior to the show as Hampton dated Burruss’ godbrother.
But the truce won’t last after this season finishes airing. In the latest episode, Hampton exploded about Burruss during a conversation with Sheree Whitfield.
“First of all, Kandi was a d*mn ho. She f–ked everybody for free,” she told Whitfield. “That b–ch was a ho, and that p–sy wasn’t good. And that’s why [she] always got to date underneath [her] tax bracket, OK?”

Buruss has been watching the gossip about her unfold with the rest of the world, and she’s sick of the hate coming her way. In a chat with Where Is The Buzz, Burruss made it known that she’s not impressed with Hampton’s shade this season.
“She tries, bless her heart.” When she was if she’s spoken to Hampton personally since the episodes began airing, she said no. “Of course not. But you know what? I’m glad she didn’t because, at the end of the day, I just saw today’s episode that’s gonna air tonight and she’s saying some of the same things. So I’m like, ‘Oh, okay. So this is something that she’s been saying on the show that I wasn’t around to hear,” she said. Burruss added, “So I’m like, ‘Oh I get it, so she’s gonna keep running this BS. We don’t even need to talk.’”
Tucker shares similar sentiments, adding: “It’s hard when you watch the episode and they talk crazy about you…You can talk crazy about me but for me it’s like my wife has contributed so much to this franchise. And the stuff they’re saying, it just shows where they’re not at, you know what I mean? And what they want…what they’re searching for, you know what I mean? So I’m good.”

Hampton’s angst against Burruss appears unwarranted to many viewers and especially Burruss. Burruss vocalized her feelings about what she’s seen on the show in recent weeks. “Someone is worried about my anatomy and sexual history more than my gynecologist this season,” Burruss wrote in one Tweet. In a separate Tweet, the Xscape member wrote: “Keep watching this season because the lady with the heavy tongue keeps my name in her mouth!”
Hampton had her own response, writing, “Keep watching because the lady with the heavy tongue is keeping everybody [sic] storyline juicy and paychecks coming in!”
