‘RHOBH’: Garcelle Beauvais Reacts to Her First Reunion
Garcelle Beauvais joined The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in season 10. The new Bravo star is experiencing everything for the first time and she just got done with her first reunion. Andy Cohen met up with the diamond-holders to rehash their drama throughout the season and Beauvais is giving fans hints of her experience.
What did Garcelle Beauvais say?
For a first-season housewife, the reunion can be a grueling time. Cohen sits down with the ladies to relive all the drama they filmed over the course of the season. For Beauvais, it was her first time experiencing this moment and she had some thoughts.
After fans learned that RHOBH had filmed the reunion special, Beauvais’ followers had questions that she kindly answered.
“Let’s just say, I survived it,” Beauvais replied to a fan asking how her first reunion was.
When a fan asked if she was supporting Denise Richards, she said she was “Team Denise.” In addition, Beauvais suggested a fan to “keep watching the show” when they noted Richards had not acknowledged what a good friend she had been.
The tea came from Beauvais came when another fan questioned how her experience at the reunion was.
“Let’s just say, some people show their true colors. It was hard,” Beauvais noted.
Garcelle Beauvais at the beginning of the season
It was in August 2019 that Bravo confirmed that Beauvais was joining the RHOBH cast. Her excitement for coming into the iconic reality series was contagious and it pumped fans for the new season.
“I am excited and proud to be joining the cast of such a wildly popular and beloved show like The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” she told The Daily Dish in a statement almost a year ago. “As a working actor who has been in the industry for some time, it’s exhilarating to have the opportunity to delve into a new chapter in the entertainment spectrum.”
Beauvais, whose credits include The Jamie Foxx Show, Coming to America, NYPD Blue, and more, acknowledged the importance it was of her joining the franchise.
“As the first African American Housewife in the Beverly Hills franchise, I am honored and humbled by this awesome opportunity to exemplify the fact that Black Girl Magic lives and thrives in every zip code!” she added. “Already being intimately familiar with the spotlight of Hollywood, my journey of successes and trials has already been chronicled and shared with my many loyal supporters around the world. The continual encouragement, support and yes, even at times, criticism, have helped make me the dynamic woman I am today.”
Brandi Glanville is a no-show
Beauvais got really close with Richards in season 10 and has defended her from the attacks from some of the girls. Brandi Glanville alleged to have hooked up with Richards, which the latter denies. Although Glanville was supposed to appear at the reunion, she was cut last-minute.
“We honestly came to a mutual decision that instead of going to the reunion, as I was set to do, that I would sit down separately with Andy [Cohen] and do a one-on-one,” Glanville explained on her Unfiltered podcast. “[Producers] didn’t want what happened last year where Camille [Grammer] came on in the end and everyone piled on Camille and Camille went crazy. Ultimately let these bi***es earn their paycheck.”
Bravo has yet to announce when the RHOBH Season 10 reunion will air. In the meantime, catch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Wednesday nights at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
