‘RHOBH’: Why Heather Locklear Will Never Be a Housewife, Reportedly on a ‘Forever No List’
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (RHOBH) already has a famous cast. But fans were hoping Heather Locklear would be in the mix given her connection to a housewife. Well, an author claims that will never happen after talking to a casting director.
Some ‘RHOBH’ fans hope Heather Locklear would join the show
RHOBH is the closest you can get to Hollywood out of the Real Housewives shows. Multiple cast members had a successful acting career before doing the show, including Kyle Richards, Lisa Rinna, Kim Richards, Denise Richards, and Garcelle Beauvais.
Richards was on seasons 9 and 10. The Starship Troopers star was loosely connected to Locklear because she was friends with her ex-husband, Charlie Sheen. Richards went on to date Locklear’s ex-husband, Richie Sambora, after their divorce.
Richards claimed she wasn’t that close to Locklear. Therefore, it wasn’t that scandalous, according to Too Fab. But Rinna did bring this up on RHOBH to prove Richards having a history of being a bad friend. Locklear hasn’t appeared on the show despite her name being dropped multiple times.
Why Heather Locklear will never be a housewife
Brian Moylan wrote a book called The Housewives. He talked to the reality stars, producers, editors, and camera people of the shows to look behind the franchise’s scenes. Moylan appeared on the B*tch Sesh podcast to talk about the casting process.
“One of my favorite parts is about the casting process. I think it’s in the first chapter of the book, and I talked to a casting director who has worked on several different iterations of the show. You know how fans are always like, ‘Oh, they should get Heather Locklear. They should get this famous person. They should talk to this famous person.’”
He claimed she said producers already approached the famous people mentioned, including Desperate Housewives star Nicollette Sheridan. “They have a list called ‘The Forever No List.’ And it’s a list of people who they’ve interviewed about possibly being a housewife and either don’t want to do it, aren’t good on camera, you know, whatever,” he said.
Locklear is reportedly one of those people. So sadly, she’ll never be a housewife along with Sheridan. That certainly is disappointing given Rinna’s husband, Harry Hamlin used to be married to her. If Sheridan did appear on the show, there would be opportunities for drama or at least some awkward moments.
What is Heather Locklear doing now?
Locklear’s biggest role was playing Amanda Woodward on Melrose Place. One of her most recent roles was playing First Lady Katelynn Christian in the TLC show, Too Close to Home, which ended in 2017. According to IMDb, she’ll be in a movie called Zombie Brothel. Locklear is also engaged to former motocross racer Chris Heisser.
