‘RHOBH’: Kathy Hilton Used to Watch the Show But Stopped After 1 Explosive Scene Happened
Kathy Hilton has been seen on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills many times, and she recently joined the series officially as a friend.
There was also a time when Hilton watched RHOBH as an audience member. However, she decided to stop watching the show after one explosive scene.

Hilton is known for many things. She is the wife of real estate mogul Richard Hilton, who is a grandson of Hilton Hotel founder Conrad Hilton.
Hilton is also the mother of socialites Paris Hilton and Nicky Hilton.
Additionally, fans of RHOBH are probably also aware that Hilton is the sister of Kim Richards and Kyle Richards. The three siblings share the same mother, but Kim and Kyle have different fathers than Kathy.
Kathy Hilton stopped watching ‘RHOBH’ after her sisters had an explosive fight
In a new interview with Access Hollywood, Hilton talked about many things related to RHOBH. When asked about whether she watched the show prior to joining it, Hilton revealed she did for a little bit.
“I did until [Kim and Kyle’s] big fight, and then that was it,” she said. “The big limo fight. That was it for me.” She also added she doesn’t “watch TV in general.”
The infamous fight Hilton was referring to happened during season 1. Kim and Kyle had a lot of tension with each other at the time, and it all accumulated into a heated argument in a limo at the end of the season. Here, Kim accused Kyle and Kyle’s husband, Mauricio Umansky, of “stealing [her] god**** house.” Meanwhile, Kyle called Kim “sick” and revealed she had an alcohol addiction.
Kim and Kyle have since made up, but the fight continues to be a memorable moment in RHOBH history.
Kathy Hilton says she joined ‘RHOBH’ to spend time with Kyle Richards
Hilton’s relationship with Kyle has come with many challenges as well.
For example, in 2018, Kyle helped produce a show about her childhood called American Woman. According to People, Hilton was not happy with the project, calling it “too personal.” The two sisters reportedly stopped talking to each other for some time. Fortunately, they eventually made up by late 2019.
It seems Hilton wants to continue building up her relationship with Kyle. She shared with Access Hollywood that Kyle was one of the reasons she decided to film more of RHOBH.
“We went back and forth this 11th season many, many, many times. It was touch and go for about three months. And then finally I thought, ‘You know, this is a great opportunity to spend time with Kyle,’” Hilton shared. “I’m sure most of you that watch this show know that we had a rough road for many years, so we had started spending more time together.”
Hilton also added, “I was just really excited to be able to be with her, and I’m just really happy that I did it.”
Former cast member Taylor Armstrong believes RHOBH could “cause some challenges” for Hilton and Kyle’s relationship. Whether that prediction will come true or not is something fans will have to wait and see.
