‘RHOBH’: Kyle Richards Shares Sweet Memory of Working With Johnny Cash on ‘Little House on the Prairie’
Not everyone has the chance to work with an American icon, but Kyle Richards was lucky enough to have the opportunity. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star recently shared a memory of working with the iconic country singer Johnny Cash when she was a child actress.
Kyle Richards met Johnny Cash on the set of ‘Little House on the Prairie’
Before she was a Bravolebrity, Richards was a successful child actress. One of her most memorable roles was on the hit show Little House on the Prairie starring Michael Landon and Melissa Gilbert. She played Alicia Sanderson Edwards on 18 episodes of the series, which aired from 1974 to 1983. Alicia was a young girl whose parents died and was adopted by a couple in Walnut Grove.
In 1976, Cash and his wife June Carter Cash made a special guest appearance on the frontier drama. They played a couple who take in the town’s reverend after he is injured while traveling as he attempts to raise money for his parish. Cash’s character is an ex-con who initially plans to take the money the reverend has raised for himself, but he eventually has a change of heart.
On March 16, Richards shared a photo of herself with the Man in Black on the set of the show. “Throwback to when I got to work with Johnny Cash on Little House On The Prairie,” she captioned the post.
Many fans remembered the ‘Little House’ episode
While it’s been nearly 40 years since Little House on the Prairie went off the air, Richards’ throwback post had many of her fans reminiscing about the beloved series. Many said they remembered the episode featuring the “Ring of Fire” singer.
“I remember watching you were sooo good and very cute,” one wrote.
Others commented on how lucky Richards was to have a memory of working with someone like Cash.
“What an incredible experience! One of the few people I would love to have met!” wrote one person.
Richards’ other acting roles
These days, you’re most likely to see Richards in an episode of RHOBH. But she hasn’t given up acting entirely. She’s set to appear in Halloween Kills, the 12th movie in the Halloween franchise that’s due out later in 2020. Richards will reprise her role from the original 1978 Halloween, when she played Lindsay Wallace, one of the kids that Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) babysits on the night Michael Myers goes on his killing spree.
In the past few years, Richards has also appeared in episodes of The Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce, Days of Our Lives, and CSI. From 1998 she played Nurse Dori Kerns on ER. And from 1984 to 1987 she starred on the sitcom Down to Earth. Richards’ other roles include 1978 Disney TV movie The Million Dollar Dixie Deliverance, the 1977 horror movie The Car, and the 1980 movie The Watcher in the Woods, with Bette Davis.
