‘RHOBH’: Kyle Richards Has a Theory as to Why Garcelle Beauvais Is Coming at Her So Hard
Kyle Richards from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is the last OG standing on the long-running franchise. In season 10, Garcelle Beauvais has been a refreshing addition to the cast. However, the Coming To America actress has found herself at odds with Richards. After a confrontation on the latest episode, a fan wondered why Beauvais was hard on Richards and the latter explained why.
Why are Kyle Richards and Garcelle Beauvais feuding?
Beauvais came into RHOBH and has already become a fan-favorite. Not everyone can say that though, and that someone would be Richards. The latter and Beauvais have been clashing in the encounters they’ve had on-screen. It’s Beauvais that called out Richards and told her she doesn’t feel she has any interest in getting to know her.
Beauvais expressed that she feels she only knows Richards on a superficial level. She also said Richards doesn’t seemingly care to know more about her. During the latest episode of season 10, editors cut away to scenes where Beauvais has been excused from numerous occasions due to her multiple acting gigs. It was Richards that told her that it’s not been easy to connect with her as she’s not present in the gatherings.
Following the episode, a fan asked Richards: “Why is Garcelle coming at you so hard? You didn’t even do anything.”
Richards was live-tweeting the episode and got a little shady with her response.
“I think because she was away a lot and was looking for a storyline,” she replied. “I showed up to her charity event and donated to her charity because I wanted to be there and support her.”
More drama between Garcelle Beauvais and Kyle Richards
The RHOBH stars have also been feuding in real life too. After Beauvais made an appearance on Watch What Happens Live, she ended up offending Richards. Andy Cohen played a game with the freshman housewife wanting to know what her first impressions of her co-stars were.
When Cohen asked Beauvais who was the “least welcoming,” she named Richards. The latter’s name also came up when she was asked who had the “biggest ego” and who would ht the housewife she would least want to be quarantined with.
The Halloween star said she was blindsided by Beauvais’s comments on WWHL when the former appeared on the Bravo late-night show.
“I was really surprised,” Richards said on the episode that aired on April 29. “My husband and I were watching and he said, ‘Why is she talking like that?’ and I said ‘I have no idea.’ If she felt like that I wish she would say it to my face instead of saving it for Watch What Happens Live.”
According to Richards, she believed everything was fine between her and Beauvais.
“I thought we got along really well and I really don’t know where that came from,” she said. “I invited her to every single thing that I threw, I only was invited to her charity where I was happy to give money to her charity.”
Garcelle Beauvais reacts to Kyle Richards
For Beauvais, it was all a game and it wasn’t as deep as Richards is making it out to be.
“I’m sorry that she felt hurt, but it’s not really about her being unwelcoming. It was more of the fact that she never took the time to get to know me,” Beauvais told Page Six. “I was in-and-out of the series a lot, which people haven’t seen yet, but I felt like the times when we were together, there was never any interest, any curiosity into my life. To have a friendship, it’s got to be a two-way street.”
