‘RHOBH’ Star Kyle Richards Finally Breaks Silence On Why She Unfollowed Bethenny Frankel on Instagram
Kyle Richards is the last OG of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The reality TV personality is a fan favorite and over the years has shared many aspects of her life. One connection that she had within the Bravo universe was a friendship with Bethenny Frankel. The latter was one of the stars of The Real Housewives of New York City and her friendship with Richards dates to before they became housewives. However, fans noticed they don’t follow each other on Instagram and now Richards is revealing why.
Why did Kyle Richards unfollow Bethenny Frankel?
Frankel met Richards when she was living in California and waiting tables at La Scala in Beverly Hills. The Skinnygirl founder went on to work for Richards’ sister Kathy Hilton at one point. Frankel made an appearance on RHOBH back in 2016 when the ladies of the 90210 visited her at the Hamptons. It’s been a while since then and fans noticed that they don’t follow each other on Instagram anymore, making everyone wonder if they were still friends.
When Richards made an appearance on Watch What Happens Live, a fan did not hesitate to ask this pressing question that has been on everyone’s mind.
“Oh, that’s a good question. She unfollowed me,” Richards said. “I was like, ‘Well, why do I want to follow someone who doesn’t follow me?’ so I just said ‘OK, well, I don’t need to keep up with her either, then.'”
The fan then assumed that Richards would probably not be invited to The Big Shot with Bethenny Season 2, if there is one. Host Andy Cohen jumped in and asked when the last time they communicated was, to which Richards acknowledge that she still talks and texts Frankel.
Bethenny Frankel is a busy bee
Both Richards and Frankel are women that are entrepreneurs and always have something going on. Frankel recently hosted her own reality competition show called The Big Shot with Bethenny on HBO Max. The prize for the winning contestant was a job at her Skinnygirl company as her second in charge. With running her company, making appearances on the Home Shopping Network to sell her clothing line, tweeting, Instagramming, making her podcast, and many other things, Frankel has her days packed.
Frankel recently opened up about the two ladies she keeps in contact with from her RHONY days, which were Sonja Morgan and Dorinda Medley.
“I text Sonja [Morgan] periodically and I talk to Dorinda,” she revealed during an interview on Australian radio show Fifi, Fev & Nick. “We were laughing today, we were talking about summer china. [Medley] sent me this one summer china and I sent her a melamine version.”
The entrepreneur also adds that their conversations “couldn’t be more boring,” adding that fans think they’re “sitting home and talking about reality television.”
“We talk about just mundane [things], dating over 50, hormones, summer china, renovation, my daughter, her daughter, Mother’s Day… just mundane tasks. We’re funny when we’re on the phone but it’s not riveting,” Frankel explained.
