Kyle Richards reveals what compelled her to go sober

Kyle Richards has spoken out about her decision to get sober multiple times since making the decision. In a recent interview, she opened up about the reason behind her decision to stop drinking.

During a chat with Women’s Wear Daily, Richards revealed that health and beauty were the number one driving factors behind her decision to ditch alcohol completely. The TV personality said that she would often feel anxious after a night of drinking and felt like she didn’t look her best.

Giving up alcohol has helped her in numerous ways, she claims. Richards says giving up alcohol helped her shed pounds and has made her skin look better than ever. While Richards credits abstaining from alcohol for her body transformation, she admits it’s not all she did to get to where she is now. Richards said she also ditched all sugar.

Did Kyle Richards think her drinking was problematic?

Since giving up alcohol, Richards has battled peer pressure. Fans of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills have seen other cast members try to persuade her to drink again. No one on the show seems to think she was a problem drinker, but did Richards think her drinking was classified as problematic?

While Richards said, it did take willpower to walk away and stay away from alcohol. Still, she insists her drinking wasn’t a problem, per se. She admits to having problematic moments but doesn’t seem to think her drinking was a problematic behavior as a whole. Because she doesn’t think she has a drinking problem, Richards has not set a timeline for abstinence. She isn’t resolute that she’ll never drink again.

Kyle Richards’ decision to get and stay sober will likely factor into the upcoming season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The early days of her journey were documented during season 13. Richards will be substantially further into her journey in season 14.
