Heather Dubrow is a former star of The Real Housewives of Orange County. The actress joined the Bravo reality show in season 7 and made it all the way through season 11. Two of the Housewives she shared the spotlight with were Vicki Gunvalson and Tamra Judge, who have been axed from the next season. Following the announcement earlier this year, Dubrow says she was surprised when she found out.

What did Heather Dubrow say of her former co-stars?

Dubrow was on the reality series for five complete seasons. Although she “never says never” about a possible return, she feels like she’s “checked the box” and relishes the time she was part of the show. As RHOC goes into season 15, Gunvalson and Judge were cut from the lineup, something that surprised Dubrow.

“I was a little surprised,” she told Hollywood Life. “You know, Tamra and Vicki have been on the show a long time. They’re both incredible women, and they always have something going on. [There’s] never a shortage of stories with either of them. So I was a little surprised at first.”

Dubrow praised Gunvalson and Judge for being part of the show and always keeping it understand, but she understands that shows transform.

“Honestly, I feel like as far as the Housewife franchise goes, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts,” she added. “And there comes a time where the show needs to keep moving and shifting and changing, I think to stay current. [Vicki and Tamra] both had amazing runs. Who knows, maybe they’ll be back. I mean, people have certainly left and come back before, but maybe they’ll you know, pick up other opportunities as well. I’m not really sure but I adore them both. I speak to Tamra often and I think that they both made such an incredible contribution to the show that’s just gonna live on.”

Vicki Gunvalson and Tamra Judge have plans together

Although Gunvalson and Judge were not asked back to RHOC, they have remained friends and are working on a project together.

“We are great,” Judge replied to a fan on Instagram. “Talk every day and can’t wait to get together. In talks to do our own show.”

The former Housewives teased fans back in March about filming together again. They both shared a picture where you could see them talking to each other and a camera capturing the moment.

“I told [Vicki], I said, ‘Listen, you and I paved the way for the Housewives franchise and I think that we are really gonna pave the way for the next step after Housewives is over,’” Judge told Entertainment Tonight in an interview back in April.

Shortly after they filmed their presentation, the whole country shut down due to the coronavirus. All television production subsequently came to a halt.

“We’ve been approached to do a show together, I can’t really say too much,” Judge told ET. “We were about ready to meet with networks and everything got shut down because of the virus. So, we are on hold right now.”

It’s to be seen what will happen to Judge and Gunvalson’s show.
