‘RHOC’: Jeana Keough Says Vicki Gunvalson Misses Ex-Husband Donn and Wants Him Back
Jeana Keough from The Real Housewives of Orange County believes that Vicki Gunvalson misses ex-husband Donn Gunvalson and would love to reconcile.
Keough said after the painful breakup with Steve Lodge, Vicki is truly missing her ex-husband and regrets the divorce. Keough thought the Gunvalsons should have never split and they should have worked through their differences and come out the other side.
Vicki and Donn from ‘RHOC’ should have never split, Jeana Keough thinks
Keough thinks the Gunvalsons gave up a lot when they split. “You have a life together,” she said on the Side Piece with Melissa Pfeister podcast. “You have homes together. Your whole life is going to change. Is it worth it? Just work on your relationship. If you’re going to put time into finding a new guy, just to try to fix the old guy. And I think to this day Vicki misses Donn. And I think she really, really regrets ever leaving Donn.”
“I just talked to her until 3:00 in the morning the other night,” she recalled. “All I kept saying was remember how much fun we would have with Donn? We’d go to the lake, we’d go to dinner. He was just so fun. Granted, when he was working, he went to bed two, three hours before her, and that’s why their love tank wasn’t full. But she could have gone up, had sex, and then gone back downstairs and worked for three more hours.”
Would they ever get back together?
While Vicki may want to repair the relationship, Donn, apparently isn’t interested. “And it’s too bad that she wants to be his friend now, and it’s too bad that he can’t grow past it and be friends. If she’s going to be in town with the kids, he won’t be in town. You know, he does the opposite of her. So sad. All those years together,” Keough said.
The couple divorced about seven years ago and Keough thinks it’s maybe too late for a reconciliation. But she thinks Vicki would love to get back together with Donn. “I think she would [want to get back together with Donn],” Keough said. “I think she would, they have a lot of history together.”
“They had a lot of fun together,” she added. “But he’s in a relationship from what I hear. She’d have to do a big apology, that’s for sure. I kind of want to reach out to him and just say, ‘Hey, she’s going through some tough times. She supported you through stuff you went through.’ Even if it was through the kids. Pick up the phone and call her.” She added, “Life’s too short, get over it.”
Vicki Gunvalson blames ‘RHOC’ for her divorce
Vicki thinks she and Donn would still be together if it weren’t for the Housewives. “I did everything right, except falling prey to divorce,” she said on the Behind the Velvet Rope with David Yontef podcast. “I mean, I think that in hindsight, I know for a fact that if I wasn’t on a reality show, I wouldn’t have been divorced.”
Beyond an empty love tank, she also said her bank account took a hit due to the divorce. “That cost Donn and I both a lot of money because we had to split assets and alimony and all that stuff,” she added. “So I paid more to him than he did to me because I had the business. So that’s hurtful.”
She regrets not doing some of the things Keough suggested on the Side Piece podcast. “So for me, I knew I didn’t bookend my relationship,” she said. “And through counseling, I figured this out. They’re listening when you travel the way I do and did, I would wake up, go to my meetings, go do my thing during the day with work. And then at night we would party and I would go to bed one or two o’clock alone, but I never called Donn, or I never reached out to him and said, ‘I’m waking up.’”
