‘RHOC’ Season 16: Kelly Dodd Rattles Fans With Comment on Whether She’s Returning
Kelly Dodd of The Real Housewives of Orange County has rattled fans once again. The controversial Bravo star did not say something outlandish about COVID-19 this time, but she did talk about her future in the reality series. After a rumor claiming Dodd had been fired from the show, the reality TV personality has made a comment that has shaken fans.
Is Kelly Dodd is getting the boot from RHOC?
Dodd has been at the center of controversy on social media for the past year. The former Positive Energy promoter doesn’t cause too much trouble on the series but she does create chaos on social media. Dodd has received major backlash for her stance on the pandemic.
RHOC fans have asked for Bravo to remove Dodd from future seasons of the show and a new allegation pointed to that being the case. After Andy Cohen hinted that the franchise was due for a “reboot,” a rumor suggested that half of the cast was being cut for season 16.
“Same friend also works at Bravo. RHOC shakeup is coming,” the unverifiable tipster said in the screenshot posted by Instagram blog Deuxmoi. “Kelly [Dodd], Braunwyn [Windham-Burke], Emily [Simpson], and Elizabeth [Lyn Vargas] are out. Tamra will be back. Heather [Dubrow] and Alexis [Bellino] said no. They’re trying to get Gretchen [Rossi] and her rich Newport [Beach] friends on but Gretchen won’t return if Tamra’s still on the show.”
Dave Quinn, a The Real Housewives aficionado with bylines on some of the most important entertainment websites, quickly debunked the rumors.
“FYI, that Deux Moi RHOC tea isn’t true, so please stop sending it to me,” he tweeted.
When a fan asked Quinn if all of the claims were false or just part of it he said, “All of it isn’t true. There been no decisions made yet.”
Kelly Dodd reacts to ‘RHOC’ Season 16 rumors
Days later, Dodd took to Twitter to address those rumors and shocked fans with her response. In the tweet, the reality TV personality suggested that she would be returning for another season of RHOC.
“It’s actually kinda funny… I’ve heard these rumors every year for the last five years. Looking forward to my sixth season,” Dodd tweeted.
Dodd is seemingly hopeful that Bravo will want her back for another season of RHOC despite all her her controversies this year.
Kyle Richards of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was even asked recently if she thought Dodd should be cut from the show.
“Oh my God, I don’t follow that show to even know anything,” Richards said trying to avoid answering the Too Fab reporter.
When the videographer brought up some of the controversies, Richards added: “She’s made some mistakes, I don’t know if she should be fired. I don’t even know. No comment on that one. I’m staying away from that one.”
Furthermore, Richards she wouldn’t like someone like Dodd on her own show.
Does Tamra Judge want Kelly Dodd gone?
The previous rumor pointed to Tamra Judge being asked back to RHOC after sitting season 15 out of the franchise. Judge recently said that she wouldn’t believe Dodd was getting axed from the show until it actually happened because she’s never faced any consequences.
“I will believe that when I see that,” Judge told Us Weekly. “ I certainly know that she has rocked the boat many times when I was on the show … but I kind of feel like Kelly’s a tough one and everything just slides off of her. There’s never really been any real punishment for the things that she has done.”
The Real Housewives of Orange County is expected to return later this year to Bravo.
