‘RHOC’: Shannon Beador Surprised by ‘WWHL’ Flashback of Her Marriage, Found It ‘Painful’ and ‘Humiliating’
Shannon Beador from The Real Housewives of Orange County had a visceral reaction to a Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen clip where she and ex-husband David discussed their marriage.
Cohen has been ending his WWHL late-night talk show with a throwback clip and chose a moment where Beador opened up about trying to make her marriage work.
Beador shared her reaction on Instagram admitting she was both surprised, but also humiliated while watching the clip.

Beador shared that she was returning from a night away with her girls and only happened to turn on the television.
“The girls and I got back from our getaway last night and I heard this clip in the background as I unpacked,” she wrote along with the 2015 clip. Beador and her ex-husband sat down with Cohen to talk about where they go in their marriage after David cheated.
Cohen wondered if Shannon Beador had confronted her husband’s mistress. The conversation dove into how the mistress shared that David Beador was obsessed with her and wanted to marry her. David Beador admitted he thought he was in love with this woman.
The couple ultimately divorced. Shannon Beador is currently in a relationship with John Janssen. David Beador is engaged to Lesley Cook who is now pregnant.
She said the clip was both ‘painful’ and ‘humiliating’
Beador shared her raw emotion to watching the clip. “I was beyond surprised,” she admitted. “Watching it back was both painful and humiliating. Five years ago I was doing everything to keep my family together and memories from those days are difficult to relive.”
“But today, I am proud of all the love, growth, and positive that has come into my life,” she continued. “I am standing on my own and taking care of my girls, something that I questioned I could do at the beginning. Difficult and painful times can only make us come out stronger in the end when we believe in ourselves.”
“I know I am in a better place today and continue to pray that is the case for my girls,” she wrote. “It’s always hard to relive distressing memories from the past, but also empowering to realize the amazing good that can come out of those dark times.”
Onward and upward
Beador has since moved on and celebrated one year with Janssen over the summer. “One year ago, the first date @fableandspirit,” she shared on Instagram along with a photo. “One year later, celebrating at the same place.”
The couple enjoyed summer until Beador and her daughters were diagnosed with COVID-19. “This photo was taken pre-pandemic,” she wrote on July 24. “Today, we are Covid positive times 4. The girls and I are blessed to be quarantining in the same home (but isolating in separate rooms). A huge thank you to all of the medical personnel that have been patiently guiding us through this illness. Sending prayers to all of those affected.”
The family has since recovered and Beador celebrated with date night post-COVID. “First date night post Covid,” she shared along with a photo. “Not going to lie. My girls and I have been living in a bubble for the last month and this is a bit scary. But we are being super careful and are at a restaurant with tables outside and far apart from each other.”
