‘RHOC’: These Two Housewives Were Asked to Return Amid Vicki Gunvalson and Tamara Judge Exit
The world of The Real Housewives is undergoing some major changes. First, Lisa Vanderpump decided to leave The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, then Bethenny Frankel ditched RHONY and now, Vicki Gunvalson and Tamara Judge are out of The Real Housewives of Orange County. Though Frankel and Vanderpump were both big personalities on their shows, RHOC is in the most distress as it is now missing two of it’s longest standing cast members. So, who does Bravo want to return?
Vicki Gunvalson and Tamra Judge exit ‘RHOC’
As one of the OGs of RHOC, Gunvalson was not happy to be demoted from full-time housewife to a “friend of the cast” last season. Ultimately, she and Bravo decided to part ways after 14 years.
“I will always be the OG of the OC, but it’s time to say goodbye to The Real Housewives of Orange County,” she wrote on Instagram. “It’s been an incredible ride for 14 years and I want to thank all of you for your support, for your love and for ‘whooping it up’ with me along the way. I’ve been working on new projects that will be exciting, empowering, and inspirational. My podcast with Westwood One will be launching soon and I will have much more to say about this on ‘Whoop it up with Vicki.’ I hope you will join me with my new journey so please stay tuned. I love all my fans, and I want to thank Bravo and Evolution for this incredible experience which my family and I have will never forget. #bravo #rhoc #whoopitipwithvicki @westwoodone @bravo @whoopitupwithvicki.”
Judge also posted a farewell message to Instagram.
“Love you Andy!” she captioned a collage of photos of her from different seasons. ‘Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened’ dr. Seuss.”
Who does Andy Cohen want to return?
Instead of bringing in fresh faces, apparently Andy Cohen is reaching into the Bravo archives to fill Gunvalson and Judge’s spots.
“Kelly [Dodd] and Shannon [Beador] have been asked to return to the show,” a source close to RHOC production told HollywoodLife.
But the women didn’t exactly leave off on the best of terms. Beador was close with Judge and Gunvalson and was often seen as weak around them. Dodd and Beador have also been feuding for a while, so bringing them both back on the show is a definite recipe for drama.
But Dodd and Beador may not be coming to the season alone.
“Kelly and Shannon both would love to have their men on the show but that will need to be worked out still,” the source continued. “No contracts have been signed and they’re still talking to the ladies about getting new wives as there will definitely be new faces on this season.”
How do the women feel about Tamra and Vicki leaving?
Whenever cast members exit a show, people look to the rest of the cast to see how they are feeling. In this case, the women of the OC don’t seem too bothered.
When a fan asked Dodd how she felt about the women leaving, she gave a pretty ruthless answer.
“Everyone is expendable,” she wrote. “Never think you are never going to be fired. I’m grateful that I have this job!!! Now I think the show won’t be so dark and fun to watch.”
