One upon a time on The Real Housewives of Orange County, Kelly Dodd and Vicki Gunvalson were best friends. The OG of the OC hit it off with Dodd right off the bat since joining in season 11. However, the two had a massive fallout and continue to shade each other on social media and the press. Gunvalson is now clapping back at Dodd and calling her a gold digger.

What ticked off Vicki Gunvalson?

Gunvalson and Dodd seem to have a real friendship on the show but it all fell apart when the latter divorced her husband. Dodd accused Gunvalson of breaking girl code when she didn’t advise her that she was still talking to her ex-husband. Gunvalson and her boyfriend continued going out with Dodd’s former partner behind her back.

At the time, Gunvalson didn’t feel like she did anything wrong and brushed off Dodd’s feelings about the situation. Since this controversy, the two went after each other making horrible remarks.

Gunvalson was finally let go from RHOC after 14 seasons on the show. As season 15 wrapped filming, Gunvalson revealed to her fans that the first season without her had been cut short because there was no drama. Dodd fired back and denied her former co-star’s claims.

“I love that she works on production now,” Dodd replied to a fan asking about the alleged shortened season. “Move on girlfriend, it’s none of her business how many episodes we have. IT’S actually up to 15 plus the finale and the reunion… don’t be jelly sister.”

Dodd continued saying, “It will be the best season yet. We filmed during COVID… real reality, not fake bulls**t like she did for 10 years. Emmy-winning season watch!”

Vicki Gunvalson fires back

Gunvalson was never one to back down of expressing her opinion. In true fashion of the OG of the OC, the insurance maven fired back at Dodd for saying she was “fake.”

“My kids being raised? Real. My daughter marrying a marine and moving away? Real. 2 grandsons being born? Real. My Coto Insurance business growing from my home office to multiple locations? Real. My divorce? Real. My relationships? Real. My tears? Real. My friendships? Real. My happiness? Real. Getting the news of my mother’s passing on camera? Real. Being an independent businesswoman not having to depend on a man? Real,” Gunvalson told Celeb Magazine listing her journey on the Bravo series.

The former RHOC star called Dodd out for her water business “that no one believes she even owns.”

“Let’s hope this season actually is a ‘great, Emmy award-winning’ one as Kelly is toting… because if it’s not, she has nothing to fall back on, as gold-digging certainly is not a career,” Gunvalson added.

The Coto de Caza resident says that RHOC Season 15 doesn’t look interesting as they will be talking about the pandemic. Gunvalson says that fans watch these shows to escape reality and don’t want to be faced with real-world issues.
