‘RHOC’: Vicki Gunvalson Says Kelly Dodd ‘Is the True Meaning of a Pig’
Vicki Gunvalson might not be holding an orange anymore on The Real Housewives of Orange County but she is still part of the drama. The OG of the OC has been getting slammed by former co-stars Shannon Beador and Kelly Dodd and it’s not something she is going to allow. Gunvalson is now clapping back at Dodd after she called her a “pig.”
Vicki Gunvalson is reclaiming the insult
Things between Gunvalson and Dodd didn’t end well on RHOC and they have continued to escalate on social media. Gunvalson quit the franchise after 14 years on the show while Dodd continues to appear. Recently there have been insults going back and forth and Gunvalson has had enough.
“Kelly recently referred to me as a ‘pig’ and said I had a ‘gross, funky body,'” Gunvalson told Celeb Magazine of an Instagram comment she read. “First of all, she’s calling me a pig as she knows this is something that offended me in the past and ridiculously childish, so I’m going to take ownership of the term and throw it back at her.”
Instead of feeling insulted, Gunvalson said she would reclaim the word and throw it back at Dodd as she alleges it better describes her.
“Kelly Dodd is the true meaning of a pig,” she continued. “She thinks she’s above the law, she mocks people dying of the coronavirus pandemic, she wore a ‘Drunk Wives Matter’ hat at a time when people are out advocating for Black Lives Matter- which, whether she agrees or not, completely mocks the movement. She hosted a bridal shower with little use of masks and no social distancing, and that’s only the beginning.”
Gunvalson rounded off her statement by saying Dodd has no class and is “too toxic and unpredictable.”
Vicki Gunvalson fires back at Shannon Beador
One of the close friendships that Gunvalson had on RHOC was with Shannon Beador. Both Gunvalson and Beador, along with Tamra Judge were known as the “Tres Amigas” due to their strong bond. However, things changed when both Gunvalson and Judge were cut from the reality series. After they were axed, Beador started socially distancing herself from them.
“I really have no reason to be around them anymore,” Beador told Entertainment Tonight of why she wasn’t friends with Gunvalson and Judge. “We live, like, 45 minutes away from each other, so it’s not like we’re in the same social circles or anything like that. I don’t know when I would ever potentially run into them again.”
After Gunvalson read Beador’s response about why their friendship ended, the insurance maven fired back.
“If Shannon really considered me a ‘close friend’ as she claims in this interview she did today, where have the calls been since I announced I was no longer going to be on RHOC? Where have the visits been? Where was she when Tamra revealed Simon was battling cancer? Nowhere. Shannon is a selfish, narcissistic, ego-driven person who only cares about herself,” Gunvalson told Celeb Magazine.
As of now, there doesn’t seem to be a path to reconciliation for the “Tres Amigas,” and they will continue to be apart.
The Real Housewives of Orange County airs Wednesday nights at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
