Vicki Gunvalson will forever be the OG of The Real Housewives of Orange County. Although the star has left the Bravo reality series, her name has continued to be brought up on the show. Gunvalson made such a huge impact with the ladies that she is still affecting them in season 15. After Emily Simpson invoked her, Gunvalson is clapping back and calling her “one of the worst casting decisions” made by Bravo.

Why is Vicki Gunvalson shading Emily Simpson?

As RHOC Season 15 plays out, Simpson implied that Gunvalson was the one gaslighting Shannon Beador to pit her against Kelly Dodd. The latter two have made up on the show after years of an on and off again friendship. Gunvalson is not cool with her being slandered and had a few choice words for Simpson.

“Emily is also an outright liar — not to mention one of the worst casting decisions Bravo has ever made — by claiming we told Shannon what to think and she went along with it,” Gunvalson told Champion Daily in an interview.

The insurance maven suggested Beador speak up and tell the truth about neither Gunvalson nor Judge telling her what to think about Dodd. Gunvalson also called out Simpson for gloating on camera about her being axed from the show along with Tamra Judge.

“Emily- like her compadre Kelly- really needs to grow up. She’s acting like an immature child so happy that the ‘tres amigas’ are gone,” Gunvalson added. “If it wasn’t for me, Emily wouldn’t have a platform to sob about her life and marriage on, so she really should simply keep quiet, especially on matters she has no stake in… but then again if she’s not talking about Tamra and I, she’d have no storyline. So there’s that.”

Braunwyn Windham-Burke says Vicki Gunvalson created ‘fake drama’

Simpson was not the only one that didn’t hold Gunvalson in high regard. Ahead of the RHOC Season 15 premiere, Braunwyn Windham-Burke gave interviews saying it was good Gunvalson was not on the show anymore.

“I think it’s good not having Vicki there because a lot of what she did last year was manufactured, fake drama and lies against [co-star Kelly Dodd],” Windham-Burke told Digital Spy. “I’m not into that kind of thing, I don’t really like that when women do that do each other.”

Windham-Burke said that having Gunvalson off of the reality series gave Beador the opportunity to get to know the rest of the cast better. However, the mother of nine acknowledged that she does miss Judge.

“I miss having Tamra there,” she added. “Tamra and I got along great. She’s still my friend… I miss having Tamra there. On camera and off camera, Tamra is a friend of mine. I think that will be the case forever.”

The drama in Orange County continues to unfold week after week. Windham-Burke is set to have a fallout with Gina Kirschenheiter in an upcoming episode. The ladies will also experience the coronavirus pandemic first-hand as the show even halted production during the initial months.

The Real Housewives of Orange County airs Wednesday nights at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
