‘RHONJ’ Fans Say the ‘New’ Cast Is ‘Wrecking the Show’
The Real Housewives of New Jersey is back on Bravo, and the new season has been full of drama as expected. With so many feuds happening, it’s hard to even dissect which women are on which side. Of course, things are still sour between Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga, but even the women who once got along well are now seeing rough patches.
Though much of the drama is probably only for the cameras, not all fans are loving this new season. In fact, some people think the “new” cast members are actually “wrecking the show.”
Fans think the ‘RHONJ’ cast is ‘wrecking the show’
The RHONJ cast has changed significantly since the show’s first season. Teresa Giudice is the only original cast member, although Melissa Gorga has been on for a while now, too; she joined in season 3. Cast member Dolores Catania joined in season 7, Margaret Josephs joined in season 8, and Jennifer Aydin joined in season 9. But newbies Danielle Cabral and Rachel Fuda joined the show for season 13, and they returned as full-time cast members in season 14.
However, not everyone is pleased with the current cast — and fans took to Melissa Gorga’s recent Instagram post to express their frustration. After Melissa shared photos from Danielle’s Boujie Brunch, people expressed how much they’re disliking the current season.
“You gals with all your fighting ruined the show,” one user wrote.
“I feel bad the ratings are so low new cast is wrecking the show,” another person commented.
“Oh look all the boring ones who ruined the show,” another person said of the ladies in Melissa’s photos.
There were a few people, however, who said that they would like to see Teresa and Jennifer leave the show, though the consensus was that (regardless of who the fans prefer), the show isn’t what it used to be.
The ‘RHONJ’ cast is fighting more than ever
While drama certainly brings ratings, some episodes and scenes are hard to watch. Danielle’s brunch was nothing but nonstop arguing, and it gets old after a while — even for the viewers who love some of those “grab the popcorn” moments. It’s hard to say how the rest of the season will play out, but it seems that the ladies are headed toward nobody liking each other.
Bravo might have to consider a cast overhaul. Of course, Teresa has remained the most iconic member, so keeping her might be important for ratings, but it seems that fans are tired of almost everyone else, with many tired of Teresa, too (though no one seems to have a bad thing to say about Dolores).
