‘RHONJ’: Is Joe Giudice Becoming a Professional Boxer?
All of his martial arts training has apparently paid off as Joe Giudice from The Real Housewives of New Jersey announced he’s going to get paid to fight.
Giudice revealed on Instagram that he signed a deal with celebrity boxing promoter, Damon Feldman. His first match is in October. “Bring it on! I’ve just signed a deal with @celebrityboxing1 to fight on Oct 24th. 🥊,” he wrote.
The fight is scheduled to go down in the Bahamas and will feature “three 1 minute, 30-second rounds,” TMZ reports. Currently, Giudice’s opponent is open to anyone who is up for the challenge.
He just showed fans his ‘extreme workout’
Giudice was deported to Italy after he was released from prison. He emerged looking slim and almost youthful. Since being in his home country, he’s spent plenty of time on fitness and training. He worked out more than ever when the country went on lockdown and he had additional time on his hands.
Giudice recently shared an “extreme workout” video on Instagram. He notes in the video he could pass out because of the intense heat. Giudice performs deadlifts using two huge cement blocks perched on the end of a metal pole.
Giudice also does plenty of shoulder work. He then does curls using a single cement block. The entire workout is performed outside in the Italian countryside. Sprawling terrain and beautiful mountains can be seen behind him as he works out.
This isn’t Giudice’s first cement block workout video. He’s shown fans how to workout with little to no equipment on a number of occasions. “Sweat. Smile. Repeat,” he wrote along with a photo where he is carrying cement blocks. “My committed relationship with my gym is forcing me to come up with creative ways to 🏋️♀️. What are some ways you work out at home?”
He had spent plenty of time kickboxing too
Giudice was training hard in the gym before the pandemic hit. He spent time sparring in the ring back in December. “Private trainer 3 times a week in Salerno Italy haven’t been trained by someone in a long time !!!” he wrote along with a video. But then also joked about how his sparring partner only spoke Italian. Which seemed to make training tough since he wasn’t a fluent speaker. “It would be nice if I understood left and right in Italian 👊🏼,” he posted with another video.
He shared that he finally returned to the ring in November too. “1st day in the ring felt good getting trained.” But he had been working out long before meeting up with a trainer in the ring. Giudice has shared endless workout videos along the way.
Shortly after his release, he started working out at a local Italian gym. But even though he had the gym pre-pandemic, Giudice has always been a pretty creative guy when it comes to finding a way to work out any time and anywhere. While at the beach in November, he dropped and decided to knock out some pushups on an incline. He used the curb as his prop.
