‘RHONJ’ Star Jackie Goldschneider Tells Teresa Giudice: ‘Destroying a Marriage Is Not Entertainment’
Teresa Giudice and Jackie Goldschneider of The Real Housewives of New Jersey didn’t get off to a great start in season 11. Both Bravo stars had an explosive encounter when Goldschneider confronted Giudice over the spreading of a vicious rumor about her marriage. After the show premiered on the cable network, Goldschneider took to Twitter and slammed her co-star.
Why are Teresa Giudice and Jackie Goldschneider feuding?
Giudice came into RHONJ Season 11 ready to get messy. The last OG of the franchise raised allegations that Evan, Goldschneider’s husband, was having an affair. When they both have an encounter to talk about the situation, Giudice alleges that she doesn’t remember who told her the rumor. However, things get tenser when Goldschneider makes an analogy using Gia Giudice’s name.
After the premiere episode aired on TV, Goldschneider took to Twitter to explain why she had said what she said.
“My analogy about Gia was simply an analogy – there was no truth to it, of course,” she tweeted. “The rest of the cast understood this, which you’ll see in the coming weeks.”
Goldschneider then added, “The behavior at my husband’s birthday party is truly unfortunate – destroying a marriage and family is not entertainment.”
Jackie Goldschneider reiterates her analogy
When Showbiz Cheat Sheet talked to Goldschneider about the feud between her and Giudice, she reiterated the same thing. She felt that she was only making an example of how powerful statements like that can be.
“What I did was make an analogy… you can’t just say something, because once it’s out there, it hurts,” Goldschneider explained to Showbiz Cheat Sheet. “And it’s unfortunate that Teresa didn’t see that that was an analogy, which I think most people will see.”
Goldschneider was emotionally a wreck after learning about the rumors Giudice was spreading around the group. The reality TV personality said she was pushed to her limit and that’s why things exploded.
“She pushed me to my limit, I reached a boiling point, and I needed to make her understand how hurtful words could be,” she added. “I did present it as an analogy. And I think the fact that she missed that, was the reason why she exploded. But I think most people can tell that that was an analogy.”
Jackie Goldschneider didn’t foresee being at the center of drama
Ahead of season 11, Goldschneider had been looking forward to getting out of the house and filming again. As the pandemic forced many to social distance, the show provided her with a way to change up the routine. However, she had no idea what was about to hit her.
“I knew that when you put this group of women with all big personalities, there was definitely going to be drama like there is every season,” she said. “But I certainly did not expect anything like what happened. I mean, the explosiveness of what happened this season, particularly in the first episode, caught me very off guard. It was very trying, it was a really emotional season for me.”
