Joe Giudice shocked fans of The Real Housewives of New Jersey when photos of his physical transformation hit the web last fall. Since then, he and ex Teresa have been working toward finalizing their divorce.

After his release from prison in 2019, deportation proceedings, and a public separation, the former RHONJ cast member dipped in and out of the news cycle. There were many events in the Giudice family during the past year, but for Joe, a new opportunity may change his fortune.

Joe Giudice is currently in Italy

As most fans know, Giudice was placed in ICE custody after he left prison to address his deportation case. He was sent home to his native Italy in October 2019, and in November, Teresa and their four daughters visited him there.

At the time, she was hopeful he would be granted approval to stay in the US, but they were unsure how long the case would take.

In April, Bravo shared that Giudice’s third appeal was denied. It is possible that his attorneys will file another one so that he can reunite with his children in America. In the meantime, Giudice is planning to launch a reality series.

What is Giudice’s reality show about?

According to InTouch Weekly, Giudice is headlining his own cooking series called Juicy Joe’s Cucina: From Italy to Jersey. Former RHONJ castmate Robyn Levy is the show’s creator and signed on as an executive producer.

Fans will see Giudice compete against his family members and other cooks in each episode, and they plan to shoot it in various locations inside and outside Italy.

Levy told InTouch that Giudice hopes his daughters can participate virtually, but that will depend on certain factors. As it stands, they’re in the process of casting for the show right now. One lucky competitor will get to travel.

Levy said, “For the finale, the person who makes the winning recipe will be flown for a cook-off against Joe in the Bahamas. We don’t have to film with him in Italy — it can be him in another country. We have some opportunities that we can make happen, we just have to figure out the logistics and the details.”

Filming is set to commence in the next few months and once it’s complete, the show will air on the Red Coral app. Fans are excited to see Giudice so happy and moving on to do something positive.

Giudice is also set for a boxing match

Though there were rumors that Giudice wanted to become an MMA fighter, in a surprise twist, he’s due to step into the boxing ring. Page Six and TMZ were among the first to report that a match between him and Jennifer Lopez’s ex, Ojani Noa has been arranged.
