‘RHONJ’: The Husbands of ‘The Real Housewives of New Jersey’ Get Their Own Taglines for ‘WWHL’
Bravo is creating magic with Watch What Happens Live this week with special themed nights that has everyone excited. On Wednesday night, Andy Cohen hosted the husbands of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. The reality TV personalities included Joe Gorga, Frank Catania, Joe Benigno, Evan Goldschneider, and Bill Aydin. For the special episode, the stars even got their own taglines just like their wives.
Why are ‘The Real Househusbands of New Jersey’ so great?
Ahead of the RHONJ Season 11 premiere, Jackie Goldschneider talked to Showbiz Cheat Sheet and teased an epic trip with the husbands of the franchise.
“We had a lot of fun this season, there’s a lot of parties, there were some great trips. The husbands on this franchise are so spectacular, are unrivaled, and they all love being together,” she told us back in February 2021. “They just inject some real fun into it. So we take to the Jersey Shore, that is just so so great.”
Jackie is completely right, the husbands of New Jersey have incredible chemistry and even get in the messy drama.
In the episode that aired on May 28, Joe Gorga got into Dolores Catania’s love life and called her a “broken woman.” Things got so heated that Dolores ended up yelling at everyone at the party and leaving early.
Prior to that, Joe B. revealed at a guy’s night that he had heard the rumor that Teresa Giudice was perpetuating about Evan cheating on his wife Jackie. Things got heated with Bill told his wife Jennifer Aydin who then later dropped the bombshell in a group dinner, setting off complete havoc.
The husbands of RHONJ work just as hard as the housewives pushing storylines and creating an enthralling show for viewers at home.
‘The Real Househusbands of New Jersey’ taglines revealed
At the beginning of the WWHL special with the husbands of RHONJ, the taglines of each of the men were played. The theme song of the reality series was played just like every week their wives’ pop up before a new episode of the show.
Frank: “I don’t know how the other men rank, but remember, there’s a reason they call me Big Frank.”
Joe B.: “I always wear the pants, even if my wife picks out the shirt.”
Bill: “I’m the only bill my wife is responsible for.”
Evan: “The only stuff that I’m doing at the gym is turning heads.”
Joe G.: “If you envy my wife, get a load of my life.”
Reactions to the taglines was overwhelmingly positive and we can only guess that the husbands from the other franchises are going to want their own taglines in the future.
Cohen recently revealed that when The Real Housewives of Orange County became a hit, they threw around the idea of making a male counterpart. The Bravo personality said that the network caster for the show and shot a pilot as well. However, it was underwhelming as there was no story to follow.
That might have just had to do with the particular casting because the boys of RHONJ always understand the assignment and deliver weekly. Maybe a spinoff with the men of RHONJ would be a good idea now?
