‘RHONY’: Elyse Slaine Slams Ramona Singer For ‘Lies’
Ramona Singer and Elyse Slaine had a severe fall out on The Real Housewives of New York City. Although their feud was not addressed on camera, part 3 of the season 12 reunion would touch base on their doomed friendship. After a preview clip was shared on social media, Slaine has some choice words for her former friend.
Why did Ramona Singer fallout with Elyse Slaine?
Slaine was introduced as a “friend of” in season 12 of RHONY. The reality TV personality came in with ties to Singer, the only OG of the franchise to have held an apple for 12 seasons. However, things turned sour at one point and Slaine was banned from her friendship with Singer.
On the episode that aired on August 27, Singer touched on her fallout with Slaine and called her a “friend jumper,” said she was “not a girls’ girl,” and “not a good person.”
“I don’t trust her as far as I could throw her,” Singer also told Luanne de Lesseps on the show. “I think she’s manipulative, she’s not genuine, and she disgusts me.”
What did Ramona Singer say at the reunion?
Slaine was not invited to the RHONY Season 12 reunion, even though she appeared throughout the season and did confessionals for the show. She recently revealed to fans that she was not in attendance because Singer barred her from going.
“Ramona blocked me from the reunion,” Slaine replied.
Although Slaine was not physically present at the reunion special, Andy Cohen did bring her name up.
“She’s a black widow and I knew this and I should’ve never trusted her,” Singer said in response as to why she fell out with Slaine.
Singer said that Slaine told her she would come on the reality series to have her back, unlike the rest of her co-stars. However, Singer felt that Slaine didn’t have her back and betrayed her.
When Slaine saw this preview she replied and said, “More lies by Ramona. “If I take a page from Mean Girls and release a Burn Book about everything Ramona said about each cast member, especially Sonja [Morgan] and Luann [de Lesseps]… they would never defend her again. I would include everything she has said about her ’50 best friends.'”
Elyse Slaine is confused by Ramona Singer fallout
Slaine revealed back in July, in an interview with Heavy, that she had a fallout with Singer during midseason of the show.
“We have not spoken,” Slaine said. “We have mutual friends who are trying to get the two of us to sit down and have a talk. I honestly don’t know what the falling out was about.”
Although Slaine wasn’t entirely sure what she did wrong, she had a hunch that it had to do with the Bravo reality series.
“I guess she had second thoughts about having me on the show but I never understood what the issue was because I felt like I consistently had her back on the show, so I don’t know why she started having second thoughts about it,” Slaine added.
Slaine recently revealed that she would not be returning for another season of RHONY.
“In response to many of your inquires, the answer is no, I will not be returning to RHONY,” she recently tweeted. “Thank you for the support, laughs, and friendship. I adore so many of you. I value you, and I am always available to chat.”
The Real Housewives of New York City is expected to start filming in the coming weeks. Bravo has not confirmed which Housewives would be returning for season 13.
