‘RHOP’: Karen Huger Claims Gizelle Bryant Lied About Hanging Out With Jamal After Cynthia Bailey’s Wedding
The Real Housewives of Potomac star Gizelle Bryant attended Cynthia Bailey’s (RHOA) controversial October wedding and claimed she left early because the guests weren’t wearing masks. However, Karen Huger, who also went to the event, denied Bryant’s claims. She also called out her co-star for lying about spending time with her ex-husband-now-boyfriend Jamal after leaving the wedding.
Karen Huger questioned Gizelle Bryant about Jamal
In the Nov. 8 episode, Karen Huger confronted Gizelle Bryant about her seemingly hidden relationship with ex-husband, Jamal. While the ladies vacationed in Portugal, Huger brought it up and noted the ladies had never seen Bryant with her rekindled love.
She also questioned if the pastor supported the OG housewife and wondered if they were trying to keep their relationship a secret. Wanting to shut the ladies up, Bryant quickly FaceTimed her boo and showed the phone around to the women.
However, Huger wasn’t satisfied and noted, “the man lives in the phone.” Although Bryant got defensive, Huger maintains that she only wants the best for the former first lady.
Additionally, the Grand Dame admitted she doesn’t think it’s fair that Bryant picks apart the other women’s relationships yet refuses to bring her partner around for them to form an “opinion.”
Bryant claimed she left Cynthia Bailey’s wedding to hang out with Jamal
On Oct. 10, the Green-Eyed Bandit attended The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Cynthia Bailey’s wedding. The event stirred up controversy as many people thought they should’ve postponed it due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Bravo agreed and chose not to film the wedding.
However, Bailey claimed they set the proper protocols in place, including mandatory masks and temperature testing, to ensure the safety of their 250 guests.
A few weeks after the event, Bryant appeared on the Oct. 25 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen and revealed she left the wedding early. According to the OG housewife, the guests wore their masks at the beginning before she says it broke into “chaos” when they began drinking and eating.
As a result of several wedding-goers allegedly removing their mask, Bryant claims she decided to leave before the toasts. After Cohen questioned what she did after she left, the OG housewife admitted she spent time with Jamal back at the hotel.
Huger says Bryant ‘lied’ about hanging out with Jamal
In a Nov. 9 interview with Reality Chat, Huger, who also attended the event, negated Bryant’s remarks about the wedding. She claimed they did not remove their masks and insisted Bailey threw a “very safe” event.
The Grand Dame also called Bryant out for lying about hanging out with her new boo when she left early. Huger claims the Green-Eyed Bandit informed Bailey three days before the wedding that Jamal couldn’t attend.
Therefore, Huger believes he was never at the hotel. Additionally, the fragrance owner noted that Bryant’s comments about the event upset Bailey and doesn’t understand why the former first lady felt the need to make up “an unnecessary lie.”
