‘RHOP’: Monique Samuels Brought Binder Full of Receipts To Season 5 Reunion
The Real Housewives of Potomac star Monique Samuels didn’t appear much on-screen after getting into a physical altercation with former friend Candiace Dillard at the beginning of the season. While some claim the other housewives pushed Samuels out, she says she chose not to film with the ladies as she wanted to take time away for herself. Nonetheless, Samuels apparently caught up during the reunion by bringing a binder full of receipts presumably so she could properly defend herself against the other housewives’ claims as well as call them out.
Monique Samuels and Candiace Dillard got into a physical altercation
Last season, close friends Monique Samuels and Candiace Dillard had a falling out. However, they could not fix their disconnect and ended up getting into a physical altercation at the winery.
The ladies got into a heated exchange, and Samuels pulled Dillard down by her hair. She then hit the former Miss United States on the back of the head several times, with Dillard attempting to defend herself by swinging a broken wine glass that cut Samuels’ lip.
Following the altercation, the podcast host met with the other ladies to apologize for putting them in harm’s way.
However, with the exception of Karen Huger and Ashley Darby, the women didn’t want to hang out with Samuels until she sought help.
Samuels stopped filming with ladies because of the fight
A few weeks after the conversation, Dillard pursued the matter legally as Samuels failed to reach out to her and apologize. Not wanting to go to jail, the podcast host countered, slapping Dillard with the count.
Due to the pending charges and tension between the ladies, the other housewives stopped inviting Samuels to group functions out of respect for Dillard.
However, the podcast host refutes this and claims she chose not to film with the ladies following the fight because she took the time away to work on herself.
Therefore, Samuels hasn’t been featured much as the altercation happened early in the season. Nonetheless, she plans on calling the other housewives out during the reunion.
Samuels brought a binder of receipts to ‘RHOP’ season 5 reunion
According to executive producer Andy Cohen, they spent 11 hours on Nov. 13 filming the reunion, which is scheduled to air Dec. 13. Samuels described it as “lit” and claimed she “slept like a baby” afterward, suggesting she got everything she needed off her chest.
During the Nov. 30 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Samuels gave one-answer spoilers from the reunion. She teased her husband, Chris, got the most heated out of all the spouses, and confirmed that Gizelle Bryant was on the hot seat.
When asked who brought the best receipts, Samuels replied, “definitely me,” and held up a binder with color-coded dividers. Cohen gave a little more insight and claimed it deserved an entry into the “Housewives Museum.”
While it’s unclear exactly what her notes contained, she previously hinted that she would bring receipts on Bryant’s ex-husband-now-boyfriend, Jamal, proving he had a mistress. The Real Housewives of Potomac airs Sundays at 9/8c on Bravo.
