‘RHOP’: Wendy Osefo Shuts Down Karen Huger in Epic Tweet, Fans Can’t Get Enough
Wendy Osefo from The Real Housewives of Potomac might be the newest housewife in town, but she will not let anyone walk all over her. The political commentator just got her champagne glass and is already bothering her new co-stars. After Karen Huger took a dig at Osefo, the latter clapped back and shut her down on Twitter.
Why are Wendy Osefo and Karen Huger feuding?
Osefo is not going to let anyone belittle her, not even the Grand Dame of Potomac. The ladies had a special “viewing party” on Twitter where they all tweeted along a special stream of the second episode of RHOP‘s new season.
On the episode, there was a moment where Osefo was giving her first impressions of the ladies. When it came to Huger, Osefo said that she had met her before but the RHOP OG acted like she had never met her before. Huger then took to Twitter to clarify.
“What do you mean, I act like I’ve never met you?” Huger tweeted. “I just said hello to you at Candiace’s party last night. I met you briefly on the carpet and heard your voice a few times during phone conversations when we briefly served on the same board. So far, not impressed.”
It wasn’t long before Osefo clapped back igniting a feud with Huger.
“I wouldn’t be impressed with a young, educated BLACK woman, raising her young BLACK boys in today’s America if I were you as well,” Osefo replied. “I should stop speaking out against injustices against BLACK people and start selling perfume. It makes sense your name is ‘Karen.'”
Fans explode at the takedown
Osefo took a dig at Huger who launched a perfume last year and fans were living for this takedown. Even Robyn Dixon chimed in and tweeted, “Well, welcome to the party.” Fans seeing this unfold in real-time were quick to react and get in the middle of the drama.
“This just threw me all out [of] my little zen mode,” a fan replied. “That’s OK, my chi can wait.”
“Y’all, when she said she reads, she reeeeeeeads honey,” a viewer tweeted.
“I love the Grand Dame but you read her like a book honey,” a Twitter user noted.
“Lemme give you my stan card right now,” another fan said.
“Get her Wendy,” another viewer commented.
“Knew I loved you before I met you on screen,” another Twitter user replied.
Huger then added, “Way too soon for the Karen move LOL. Slow it down, slow it down.”
Karen Huger calls it out
The Grand Dame is usually outspoken about situations when she deems it necessary. One of the big shockers of RHOP Season 5, is the physical altercation between Monique Samuels and Candiace Dillard. Although she does have an opinion about the fight, she has chosen not to take a side.
“Well I’m the matriarch of RHOP, I don’t have to take sides, I have to be fair,” Huger told E! Online.
“I have to be objective and I have to be truthful. And oftentimes telling your friends the truth about their behavior is not easy and it’s challenging. Again, I’ll say stay tuned. Two wrongs don’t make a right and I stand by that.”
